  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Ours was also our baby even though I only met him when he was already 3 years old. It felt like I had to protect him and couldn't because he had cancer :-( we and he fought so hard and in the end we had to euthanize him, but it felt like we betrayed him. I would love to hear from your kitty if you want to tell something about her!

  • My boyfriend has red the books and loved them. I'm not into sci fi usually but love the series so far and plan on reading the books in the future. Haven't been so excited about new episodes coming out in a long time.

  • The fact that the girlfriend doesn't want to tell her family is kind of a hint that they won't be happy about the relationship. So being upset is kind of the best outcome in this situation.

It's nice that you and also I have met nice muslims who encouraged their kids do love whoever they want. In this specific scenario I would trust the girlfriend though, because she knows her family better than us.

  • I just saw a video that Israel did a lot of propoaganda/ads in social media to get people to vote for them. Got no proof though. Still there have to be people who voted for Israel and I got no idea who would do that... Like the song wasn't even great.

  • So as a doctor working in an intensive care unit, we even know we're the baddies sometimes. We've had people quit over that. Pretty hard to fight the system and take people off of live support. I'm in Austria and the laws are pretty different here. Best thing we can do if we think a patient isn't benefiting from more life prolonging interventions is to do an "ethic council". There a bunch of different doctors who don't work at the same unit and a lawyer get together and decide what to do. Still we had some people rotting to death in our unit. Also people on life support where we knew we could never get them out of intensive care and just prolonging their suffering. In the end some kind of infection will take them. But we're just prolonging their suffering and their families suffering who are trusting us. Horrible situation all around. And the thing is we do that because the surgeon in charge doesn't want them to die because then the surgery will be considered failed In statistics. So we keep them alive for 30 days... I'm still in training so can't really change the system just make people as comfortable as possible with painmedication and sedation until they're allowed to die. (Usually after 30 days so the surgery is seen as successful)

  • As a woman I have friend's I just talk to whenever I want, like once or twice per year and never had a problem with them. Athough there were friends I lost because we didn't have enough contact and they didn't like that. Looks like it depends on the person and not the gender. Who would have thought that ;-)
