  • The Supreme Court also justified that abortion should be policed at the state level despite 50 years of it being protected at the federal level, so I wouldn't use their ability or reason as jutsification. "They can easily tell", when it agrees with what you agree with. In the same way the Constitution can be read to agree with digital 4th amendment rights, or not.

    There's several people in this thread arguing we should outright ban the use, instead of coming up with ways to protect artists without artificially limiting AI.

  • No one knows because Valve hasn't released sales numbers and I'm not sure what number you would expect me to say that would satisfy whatever you arbitrarily consider a successful product.

  • I don't know why you think the US would send it's military to Ukraine for peacful reasons, and not to kill as many Russians as is necessary for the Russians to leave.

    I don't know why you think the US sending troops to help a sovereign nation protect itself from an invader is not benevolent.

  • So your argument isn't against AI, it's against studios. Or your argument is against us, and our complacency when it comes to corporate or profit overreach.

    I don't see how you could take that as an argument against AI in general. Stanley Yelnatz wasn't wrong for looking for the shorter shovel.

    I, too, got mad at the creation of the personal computer and lobbied congress to ban them because they aren't as real as my subjective interpretation of reality, work, and honesty.
