  • If you smell almonds, you are in business.

  • Same here on the resistance to pain meds. I had a such a terrible experience with surgery. Once I woke up I was in such agony but I was also tripping hard from the dilaudid and left over anesthesia that I was unable to communicate effectively. Once a doctor finally listened to me many hours later, they gave me a cocktail of other stuff that finally eased the pain. I also really struggle with dental work.

  • As a kiwi that left for the US, things are getting a bit strange in New Zealand. So many folks are becoming openly racist vs. what I see in the states. Granted, I don't live in the south, but still... I was shocked when I went back to visit at the rhetoric being used.

  • No kids and will not have kids. I have nieces and nephews that I enjoy spending time with and they satisfy any desire I might have. I have an uncle and aunt that are 85 and don't look a day over 65. They never had kids and are some of the happiest and healthiest people I know.

  • I agree, it's improved quite a bit from over a year ago. I hope it doesn't get too big. I personally like only logging in once every two days and being able to see everything important. Less content makes it much less addictive than reddit was.

  • There's quite a span between older and younger millennials. Older millennials were already in college by the time the iPad was released.

  • Older millennials are firmly there with you in relation to tech.

  • That statement is there because the company selling that milk is advertising that it is rBST free. It is illegal to make health claims for a product without proof and it can lead to large fines and forced product withdrawal. The disclaimer protects the company from any false advertising claims.

  • I hope you are doing as well as you can be. Losing a beloved pet is not easy.

  • Mechanically separated meat is sold and served in Europe and Asia.

  • In many general aviation planes, they have a wig-wam setting that alternatively flashes the landing lights during the day.

  • Try tmobile's wireless internet. They usually have an option to try free for 30 days. Depending on where you live it can be a great alternative.

  • First, don't assume "your". Second, you are using the EU as a reference. What about the Middle East, Asia, Africa, or the Pacific? As someone who has traveled the world, there is junk food in every culture and most of it is garbage.

  • Packaged foods in different countries are exactly the same as what you can find in the US. They are all loaded up with the same stuff. But, just like anywhere else in the world, lots of people make their own food from scratch or buy healthy alternatives.

  • My house is heated with hot water radiators. One of the best things I ever did was install a towel holder in my bathroom that was plumbed into the hot water. In the winter, my towels are always dry and toasty.

  • If you look up industrial accidents with nitrogen, it isn't at all like the accounts of that execution. It takes one breath of pure nitrogen and you'll just fade out. There have been plenty of accidents where someone connected a respirator up to nitrogen and put it on, and they passed out immediately and didn't even know to take it off. If you are trying to hold your breath for as long as you can, it is very painful as the buildup of CO2 in the body is what triggers us to breathe.

  • So sad for businesses... The only way this stops is if they are irreparably hurt and realize that they caused it by voting him in.

  • It actually comes from WW1 where American soldiers thought that French speaking Belgians were French.

  • There are way more nitrosamines in a thin slice of cured meat than any drug had before the regulations were put in place.

  • Caused by Trump over stimulating the economy and injecting cash while it was booming.
