  • These are the numbers being reported by the Health Ministry right? Honest question, are they actually controlled by Hamas like reports have indicated? If so, can we actually believe the numbers that a terrorist organization is reporting?

That being said, ANY civilian deaths are unacceptable whether they are Israeli or Palestinian.

  • One thing I often think about coming from a Christian upbringing is the idea that God knows everything that will ever happen to you, every choice you'll make, when you'll die, etc. To me, that signifies determinism and total lack of free will. That just doesn't sit well with me.

  • This is kind of where I'm at in life at 40. I grew up in the Christian church but as an adult, I see so much hate, intolerance, oppression and exploitation. I'm a lover of science to my core and I also believe in a higher power. I just choose to keep that mostly to myself in my day-to-day life.

  • What's funny is that you can spend less money on some cheap ass bottom shelf wine that has a higher alcohol content. You get drunk faster, for less money and you don't have to drink as much if that's your goal. You just won't look cool being the kid showing up to the rager with bottles of Bare Foot or Yellow Tail.

  • They did something very triggering to a group of people that are extremely easily triggered. To a normal person it seems like no big deal on the surface. From a business stand point, it makes zero sense to promote your product to people who don't like it, while triggering a huge chunk of your faithful patrons.

  • But if you're trying to get drunk as fast as you can for as cheap as possible without any regard for taste, there are are products out there that have higher alcohol content and cost less than all of those products you named. Wouldn't that be a more efficient means to an end?

  • When I was younger, I had really only experienced console games and maybe a few basic PC games at school. My uncle showed my this FPS game on his computer called Redneck Rampage. Basically you're running around farms trying to kill aliens. I don't really remember playing very many FPS game before that and it opened up a whole new world for me. But the really crazy part was how "adult" the game was. You could drink beer in the game and your character would get drunk. I also remember some graffiti in the game of a naked woman with huge tits. At the time I could not believe something like that would be allowed in a video game! Blew my mind.

  • They're in quite a pickle. Half of them don't want Trump, the other half will only vote for Trump (even if he's in prison). MAGA is tearing the party apart and the house speaker situation is just the latest manifestation of that.

  • I was a teenager. We were in a somewhat rural area just outside of the DFW, TX area. There was an abandoned housing development that became an urban legend called "Crazymans". The area had nothing but paved streets and a large tower in the center that kind of looked like a fake lighthouse or clocktower. Supposedly the developer lost all his money and murdered his wife at the tower or something like that. Kids would climb to the top and carve their names in the wood, drink and smoke, etc. The ladder was on the outside and it was somewhere around 3-4 stories high I would guess. It was the middle of the night and I was the first one in the group to go up. As I reached the top rung on the ladder a huge owl flew out and scared the shit out of me. I nearly fell but managed to climb up and sat down to wait for my heart to start beating again.
