I agree with the article. Gen Z are more open to sharing their life with the world. I wouldn't say early generations just swallowed the bullshit. They just didn't have a platform to express it to the masses. In the 70s or 80s if you got fired, maybe you reacted the same way, demanding a reason and expressing your frustration. But the only people who witnessed that, were the ones in the room and later on your buddies when you told them the story.
In the case of my wife's family, if we make plans, most of them are guaranteed to show up late. We've made it a habit to plan things for 30 minutes to an hour before we actually want to start because we know they'll be late. Being a veteran, it drives me crazy. If I'm not a few minutes early, I feel like I'm late.
Even though I have the exact version mentioned in this post, I have been unable to find any flags in the debug menu that will enable the ability to change colors in a chat conversation. For some reason neither the post or the telegram channel it links to, do not mention which flags to enable. I've seen it mention on other platforms that "bugle.enable_custom_themes" is the specific flag, however that does not exist on the current beta version as far as I can tell. The version I have and the one mentioned in the post is messages.android_20240125_01_RCO0.phone.openbeta_dynamic.
If I'm on my computer, I use Push Bullet. It sends the link directly to my phone but I can also go back to the Push Bullet app anytime and find it. If I'm on my phone, I just keep that tab open on Chrome until I read it.
I have around 12 watches. Only 2 of them cost more than $200 and both of those were gifts. I've never had the desire to have a smart watch let alone one that costs $1,000 but I can see the value in having a device that can measure certain parameters for medical reasons.
I just cut up an old VGA cable to make some of these tonight. Surprisingly not that hard to take apart. I'll need to use my dremel to cut the screws off of their little blue thumb grips so I can glue them on.
I never paid for prime. I hate paying for shipping though so I usually wait until I need a couple of things to get over the minimum. I recently ordered a pair of ear buds. They were $34.95 so I added a box of $1 Kraft mac and cheese to avoid paying the $8 for shipping. haha!
I really tried to get Jellyfin to work but I had so many issues. After a lot research and tinkering I finally got it to work... for about 30 seconds. No matter what I played the video would freeze shortly after starting and the audio would continue. Didn't matter if I was remote or on the same network. I gave up.
