  • I mean, we've all already assumed US capitulation and cessation of any alliance tbh. It only took about two weeks.

    Jog on.

Best of luck with China and that supply chain. They're looking at how you're throwing Ukraine under the bus and thinking "Oh hell yes".

  • Honestly loving the fire in Canadian belles I'm seeing recently.

  • That's true to some extent, but the EU did announce they were preparing their biggest aid package yet. The unconfirmed number was €700B which works out at about €1500 per citizen and I am all fucking in on that if it's true.

  • One. Absolute best offer.

Ok, ok. One bag potatoes too.

Ladas only for early sign ups.

  • That last part I fully agree with but very obviously enriching already very rich people at the cost of your child's life (versus for example keeping oil prices low for the average Joe hidden behind a war of being the good guy aka gulf war 1).

I just don't see it happening. I can't see the average US soldier and especially their parents rallying around "they broke our contract!".

  • No I don't. What mother is going to happily send their child off to war over a contract?

  • My first thought is that payments are staggered and if they don't arrive the contract ends. Bog standard clause. Wild man trump isn't going to risk American lives over enriching his mates. Americans wouldn't tolerate it either.

Having only local workers as part of the contract would also remove any boots on the ground to remove.

Second one that occurred is WTO.

  • Contracts like those always have extensive breach clauses for ass coverage for both sides.

  • I can't emphasise how badly you need to travel. I'm old and very well travelled, much of it for work, like easily 20 countries all across the globe and it has been a huge eye opener to experience different cultures, foods, make friends with fellow travellers, locals and has broadened my horizons on so many fronts.

Yes it can be expensive but it is something you will never regret if you can scramble the money together for it. Embrace it. Deeply.

If you're in North America you can experience lots of cultures and experiences like the national parks in the US very reasonably. I'm guessing you're not in Europe because travel is cheap AF here.

I honestly think it will bring down many of the current barriers you express.

  • I am a sceptic so appreciate the scepticism but someone has to be the first to report on something and I'd consider them a fairly reputable source.

  • I didn't experience that for what it's worth. Usual "no thank you" option came up for me. I really hope they haven't gone the cunt route. I donate to them every Christmas because of their openness. Never once logged in.

  • Timeline:

    1. Ukraine signs that obvious plot (lol)
    2. US provides some level of security
    3. Everything they have is mined with record speed
    4. Russia rebuilds their lost USSR kit
    5. US withdraws and leaves Ukraine to the rearmed wolves
  • Good God. Apart from being horrible behaviour, his seems like such self-detrimental thing to do.

    edit:

polar bears are hunted commercially in Canada, the only country that still allows the practice

I wonder if this was them thinking "well, if we can't stop it..." but the damage to their reputation (and surely recurring donations) is huge here.

  • so I don’t drop it, and if I do it will stand out.

    That is actually genius.

  • My old phone is 10 years old

Props to you. That's some value you got. I got 5 out of my last one with Lineage and thought I was doing well.

  • Oh transparent case (with bump edges) all the way for me. They go a little yellow after some time so need replacing.

They allow you to see dust buildup which I unfortunately discovered on my last phone starts to cause lots of little micro scratches over time.

  • When you say "until I close my eyes" does that mean I revert to being a male non-millionaire after?

If so, definitely rewriting my will to give everything to the old me when I revert. Yoink!

  • Solaris was great until they insisted on keeping their crappy CPU for way too long before adding x86 support and lost their market share and their company.

It was a terrible gamble and they lost hard to Linux as a result.

  • Also making my way through them currently and thoroughly enjoying them.
