It was definitely togs in Qld when I was growing up. Might be the old potato cake/scallop debate all over again.

I have bamboo sheets and they are great for hotter weather. I find them quite cool.

Would the Australian (NSW) laws apply here because that’s where it happened? They updated their sexual consent laws not long ago and their easy reader is pretty clear that a kiss is considered part of that. Probably a dissenter but I like having all those stories in one place now. I think the community is too new to start subdividing it up too.

Cloudstreet by Tim Winton. Two very different families leave the country for the bright lights of Perth

Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton. A story about growing up in Brisbane on the rough side of town.

For the Term of his Natural Life by Marcus Clarke. Very readable novel about Australia’s convict history. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

Yea it does feel like shouting in the wind at this stage but I hope it all goes on record somewhere.

Yea M83 Soundtrack is gorgeous

Book 5 is my fave Malazan book! Once you have some time off after finishing the series, a re-read is so satisfying picking up all the clues you missed the first time around. Enjoy!

Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. It’s like stratified human civilisation / Roman Empire in Space. First book is very Hunger Games-y but the rest of the series is excellent.

Stynes posted screenshots to Instagram of the attacks she has received online. Much of it was anonymous, or pseudonymous, but other posts – including death threats, and violent, graphic abuse – were made under apparently genuine personal accounts.

Yikes. Hopefully the charges stick.
