That's a scary thought. Can you imagine Alex Jones or someone like that taking over control of the MAGAts?

Are they really, though? How much foreign funding and "suggestions" do they get?

And they just shut up and do it? Fucking useless agencies.

Seriously. Aren't they supposed to use their "particular set of skills" to protect the country from enemies both foreign and domestic, or something like that?

You do have to worry about the election after any assassination though

Assassination would just make Trump into a MAGA martyr. They would be riled up and energized.

You would end up with MTG as Vance's VP or something equally horrid.

I'd rather he die from a heart attack or a lightning strike on the golf course.

I mean, did they do literally no research into what his policy proposals were?

They "researched" hard enough to see the (R) beside his name and voted based on that research.

How often are you holding your elected officials to account?

how often are you hitting the streets protesting?

How much local and community organizing are you doing?

How much "voting with you wallet" are you doing?

I feel like we get held to a higher standard for some reason?

Not really. My expectations about Americans are pretty low, and even then I'm regularly being disappointed by what I see them doing.

At minimum you guys should be held to the standards that you claim for yourselves, but that's so much higher than I have ever seen your country achieve.

If Americans want the respect from the rest of the world that your country claims it deserves, you guys need to fix a helluva lot of things.

Just be aware that you may or may not need to register in the new "Alien Registration Requirement".

And if you choose wrong, they might lock you up in a detention center concentration camp.

And Canada appears to have reduced happiness, I suspect due in part to our proximity to the USA.

She was trying to apply for a renewal of her exiatin work permit and ICE complained that the letterhead on one of the documents she presented was wrong.

But if an existing factory happens to have some unused capacity, re-tooling to make a similar product that wasn't previously economically viable to make might be a fairly quick possibility.

America isn't "protecting Canada", it's using Canada as a buffer between itself and Russia.

Keep your eyes out for people adding "Canada" to the name of the company.

American companies have been doing that in Canada for my entire lifetime.

It's been a concern since (at least) the 1970s.

as I understand it we will get the rights to make replacement parts and do the repairs to the European ones.

That should be the default for any military equipment.

Having our armed forces reliant of the goodwill of some other country is a risk to the military ability to do their job.
