That's my answer every time I see an American claiming they would fight on Canada's side if an invasion happens.

Get off your star spangled asses and fix your own damn country.

Fixing America's problems will prevent Trump's stupid trade war from escalating into a shooting war.

Only 30% support these Nazis.

Google scans YouTube videos for information about what products appear in them

Yes, but not specifically looking for products. They're scanning to try to learn everything about the video with the goal of better matching suggestions to the interests (as determined by watch history) of viewers.

The intention is (as always) to increase viewer session time because the more time viewers spend on the platform, the more ads they see and ultimately the more money YouTube makes.

Of course, that scanning and view history can also be used to target ads with the goal of increasing ad click-thru and conversion (ultimately also driving the profit goal)

I don't understand Americans and how to motivate them.

I would hope an actual American would have a better idea about that than this Canadian dude...

We need different ones for "Packaged in Canada", "Processed in Canada (but with some foreign ingredients)", "Made in Canada by a foreign-owned company", and "Actually 100% Made in Canada from domestic ingredients by a Canadian company".

We also need labels those that say" "imported by asdf Canada inc" to instead say where the hell they were imported from.

Basically, it seems like we cannot trust the business to do anything in our best interest.

That is far from a new thing.

Businesses only serve our best interest when that happens to also be the more profitable thing for them to do.

We are on our own.

Yes, America, you are.

Because your government is doing everything they can to isolate you from the rest of the world.

America is racing down the road to becoming a pariah state, and far too few of your fellow citizens are willing to do anything to even try to stop it.

It's not the rest of the world's job to save you from yourselves. We are doing what we need to do to protect ourselves from your rapidly declining country.

Note, though, that it wasn't the youtuber who submitted it to Hackaday.

I've had a couple of my videos show up there and I have no idea who the user was that submitted it, nor what their motivation was.

its embarrassing how many of us are for the craziness.

It should also be embarrassing how few of you are actively fighting back against the collapse of your own country.

Those few hundred person protests? They should be millions. And they should be constant.

That's the only way you'll reclaim your country from the fascists who are taking it over and destroying ~250 years of progress.

It would be cool if you and your fellow citizens (millions of you, not just the handful who have been shouting into the wind so far) got together and did something to prevent that implosion.

The only country threatening Greenland is his country.

But those programs are mostly provincial, not federal.

It's important to be angry at the correct politicians, when a program isn't living up to the expectations.

They aren't really. At least not in any great numbers.

The idea behind tariffs is you take the money earned by sale of foreign goods and invest it in domestic production.

Except, due to Trump's lashing out randomly at the rest of the world, the world is turning its back on American companies and American made products.
