I think this is the reason he wanted to do it. He was ex-muslim, anti-islam activist who felt germany isn't doing enough curb the spread of islam. He was also pro afd and held anti-immigrant sentiments.

Although the authorities says the motive was unclear, it seems to me that he wanted people to see "a saudi citizen attacks Christmas market" so german people see it as an attack on christian values by a foreign citizen.

It is a bit strange that even though society at large has made so much progress in gender equality, there are still cases that stump me like this. Cuz I don't remember playing any game with a female protagonist that also had a romance element, but then again I haven't played that many games in general.

Meta has also released many top tier model to the open source community. To say "meta only oppose openai cuz they wanna create a service of their own" is quite frankely uninformed.

Meta is the reason so many researchers are able to work and make AI accessible to the everyday people. Without llama models, so much of research would not have been possible cuz openai never release their stuff under the guise of "safety".

Openai wants to monopolize and charge us whatever they want. And this going for-profit was part of their plan from the beginning. If only meta had not released their top tier models for absolutely free, openai would have had complete monopoly.

Also saying for profit structure would allow them to have more fund is like saying having a gun will allow a robber to have more funds.

The funds will come from consumers, for profit would mean they will have an easier time ripping off the people without too much scrutiny

Look we can criticize religion for its issues all we want but in this specific case, they are using religion as a tool to get what they want. If it weren't for religion, they would use something else.

Fascist/authoritarian governments always use something to control the public.

Its not about religion, its politics. A few years ago the Pakistani military overthrew a very popular prime minister who publicly said that it was the military behind his removal. Then slowly and gradually there was more and more evidence behind military involvement which as a result, made the public anti-military. They have been kidnapping and torturing anyone critical of them.

But the more they oppress, the more people become anti-military. It got to the point that in february the government blocked access to twitter because of anti-military sentiment, so people started using VPNs. Now this "religious body" which is government appointed claims to block VPN because "people are watching immoral things via VPN". But in reality, it is to stop people organizing protests.

Also a governmental body can not decide what is islamic or not, thats not how islamic law works. It has to come from islamic scholars and there needs to be consus on it.

I don't think any major islamic scholar who lives inside pakistan has signed or approved this message even though they want to stop porn they know its not about stopping porn, its about making it difficult to criticize the military.

In pakistan, military has gotten so powerful that they literally kidnap and torture you for being critical of them. And if you live outside pakistan they kidnap and torture your family members, demanding you to remove your posts.

And recently pakistani people have started to become more and more anti-military. So they are using VPNs to hide their identity to protect themselves.

Why are americans so fuckin dumb? Instead of pointing their fingers at millions of trump voters, they are pointing it at people with empathy for having anti-genocider stance.

It feels like they are just interested in finding a scapegoat to blame rather than asking the real questions, why did so many people voted for trump? Did kamala, despite having more funding, failed to convey her plan? What happened and why it happened and how can it be avoided?

I think thats an issue with AI, it has been so much trained on complex questions that now when you ask a simple one, it mistakes it for a complex one and answers it that way
