It’s worth noting that, by and large, American culture makes it a pretty stifling experience for most people to stay at home as an adult. There are a lot of nuances that create this dynamic.
There’s also the undeniable frequency at which these parent/children relationships turn toxic that I think other cultures ignore. I have a first generation Korean friend in his mid-twenties who left the country because, despite how unhealthy his home environment is with his parents is, the social pressure to stay is incredibly high.
In North America ‘Living with parents’ seems to pick on who benefits and if anyone is prevented from doing things they need to do to get to the next step in their life to be capable of independence.
I really wish we had a culture that promoted healthier family dynamics and that staying at home longer was more common as a result. Maybe then I’d still have family and a safety net.
My mother too. Haven’t talked to her in 2 years because she went hard with me on how bad the vaccine is and challenged my college education and ability to think critically/do research, ultimately calling me gullible and stupid. It’s worth noting she dropped out of middle school and never even got her GED.
I have no qualms with a person making a comfortable living off of building a website like Reddit. None at all. I’d rather have someone who’s able to dedicate their full time and even a team to making an experience great for users and making a very healthy living off of it.
But yea, spez is a greedy fuck and the ELT at Reddit are all greedy fucks. Reddit has no business being a publicly traded company.
Exactly the same for me. There’s a great library of PCVR games that doesn’t exist in PS5 right now, and several are racing games that I want to play again. I’m thrilled to hear there’s PC support coming considering this is one of the best headsets you can buy right now.
Haven’t seen anyone mentioning that Checo was faster than Max today while appearing to be less comfortable with the car. Carlos being even faster is even more telling to me that we haven’t seen what these cars can do at all yet.
I know there’s a lot of doom over another year of RB dominance, and while I think it’s entirely possible, I still think it’s worth waiting for next weekend to be let down lol
I’ve gotten so many messages over the last few months about price increases on everything from my internet to the toll lanes in my region. Absolutely everything is going up in price right now and t
It’s just unsustainable.
