Anyway, if your point is that "GIs aren't going to care about the fact that these are US citizens," then I more or less agree with you.

I was expecting you to have a much deeper connection than just "it's the same tactics." Like yeah obviously if you learn something in one place you can apply it to another similar situation.

Hm, I don't think that's likely. I have some other tinfoil hat theories:

1. it's so that they can watch their workers to make sure they're working;
2. it's to ensure the workers don't have other commitments outside work (like looking after a kid);
3. people who are board members of both real estate businesses and RTO companies.

Redistributing wealth by printing money is pretty stupid. The wealthy don't have money, because there are better investments. This is all based on the myth that inflation is necessary for society to function; that you need to push people to get rid of their money. Japan went like 20 years without inflation -- not saying they don't have problems, but to my eyes none of those problems are caused by a lack of inflation, and the typical person did not complain that inflation was too low. Redistributing wealth by taxing the rich is based.
