I feel your pain with Ubuntu, though last time I used it was about a decade ago. As bad as it is (relative to some other distros), it's still miles ahead of Windows. So, you've got that going for you!
Out of twins, one is heading for trade school, the other will have earned half her undergrad by the time they finish highschool, with plans to go pre-med. One will make a great living as an electrician and the other will drown in student loan debt for years. I'm equally proud and supportive of their decisions.
If a parent is disappointed that their child is going for a trade, the only thing this shows is that the apple fell far from an asshole tree.
Coffee House owner and bean roaster chiming in- I don't give a shit what people put in their brew or how they enjoy it. I drink it black and love it, but my poor jaded tastebuds demand to be punched in the junk just to feel feelings.
Watched the whole thing. He had some valid points, especially where full permission from the talent is concerned. The "field guide" models were pretty uninspired, but they did a good job showcasing what is possible.
I have mixed feelings. Using AI responsibly is the ideal goal, but we have seen that this is largely not going to be the case both now and moving forward.
I believe that as a FOSS developer, in order for your code to be implemented and widely adopted, you'll have first reached a certain level of trust in the community. That, and yes your open source code can be picked through. Malicious code isn't always immediately found, but it does ruin the hard earned reputation of the developer.
Source: just speculation from being a FOSS fan for many years
Astonishingly enough, in my very, very flawed state, rain water collection is not only legal, there are tax incentives for it. Although with the way things are going, it's probably only a matter of time before it's made illegal as another means of control.
Wonder if the PFAS water test kits are any good, or if I should just pony up the $500 and send soil sample off to a lab. Not that I could do anything about it. Still gotta eat.
Just wanted to say you're not alone here; this is the first time I've encountered a "laggy" post, and I was also wondering if it's a boost issue due to all the images.
My wife and I play a lot of Civ 5 together. We recently got Old World on sale and have been enjoying it. It's different from Civ in a lot of refreshing ways, but retains enough of the Civ vibe we really enjoy.
Can it be a pillow fight?
I use steamos btw
