  • I can't remember all of them but there were a handful of drivers (Alonso, Max) that said they could win if their car was as fast as Mercedes. It's normal for drivers to think they are the best and their talents are not the reason for the performence.

  • That statement is backwards, 11th place is the furthest back that could catch Max. Max can not finish 11th there are not enough points left for 10 drivers to jump him. There are 10 races left and each race has 102 pts available and 3 sprint races with 36 pts, if 2 - 11 got those points evenly Max would still be champ. The furthest Max could drop is 5th.

  • I dislike the loss of tire use stragity. I like that teams are forced to understand how to get the most out of their car on each compound. Practice is a little more important, teams can't just focus on max pace with softs and race pace on the different compounds.

  • Electric trains work for a few reasons, multiple cars can be driven without giving up cargo space, the amount of power put down can be much higher, and wheel slippage can be managed almost instantaneously. These gains allow electric trains to overcome the loss due to electric generation and storage.

  • A second penalty per million over per race for the back half of the season and double the amount over and apply it to next year's spending. That would hurt the following two years hopefully it would be enough of handicap to negate any gains.

I would love to see teams starting 20 or 30 seconds later in the pits, if nothing else watching them have to charge through the field every week would be entertaining.
