1.5 degrees can mean the collapse of entire marine ecosystems, widespread shift in farmable land and water shortages like we have never experienced. will every single human be wiped out and our species end? no. Could billions (with a B) die and society as we know it irrecoverably collapse? quite possibly. And thats not just dooming

I really like foundation as it's own thing, separate to the source material. top notch show

Theres one channel I wont name (because i cant remember what it is actually) but its some chick with tourettes who goes into shops and has her boyfriend filming while she just knocks shit over and makes a mess, then carries on when confronted and makes out like the workers there are discriminating against her. I dont doubt she has a problem, but if anyone came into my shop making a mess while someones filming them WTF would anyone do? anyway, the comments were nothing but praise about how 'brave' she is and how hard it must be to live like that. I am absolutely sure any comment that points out how rediculous it is and does nothing to forward her cause are removed quickly

its not just an american problem either, same stuff you will see on similarly leaning news articles and videos here in australia. all rambling about the same inconsequential shit that the cookers and loonies overseas ramble about as well.

tangental but I think the idea of "Service Garuntees Citizenship" to be an interesting one, from Starship Troopers. In the book, service didn't necessarily mean military service although it was the most common from memory.

yeah i had a main and 2 alts no dramas for years but my main got an out of the blue admin level ban with no warning (for calling someone a cooker, who was indeed, cooked), which led to my other 2 alts banned and any new ones i made

Waterworld is such a great movie with a lot of misguided hate. Many dont like it because of its reputation of being an expensive flop but havnt actually bothered to watch it. I personally love it, I also enjoyed The Postman too which was another unloved Kevin Costner post-apocalypse movie
