The only code with timezones should be the bit squishy meat bags touch. Everything's is should be UNIX time. Or it you are unfortunate enough to be on Windows, NT time.
Some unfortunate programmers already have to deal with the speed of time not being a constant. In a distant future, timestamps might always have a universal position (and speed), and is that much different from timezones?
Or we find some way of removing time distortion of physics. Find the universe's real systick. 😃
We in Europe need to consider weakening relations with the US if starts turning away from democracy.
There is a real chance that even if Trump loses again, by any democratic measure, he might still try to be president, again, and might succeed or make more of a mess.
We in European need to not be dragged down with US. We need our defences again Russia and China, and if need be, sadly, the US.
Well I hope we are both differently wrong and we get a peaceful Russia some time soon. Doesn't seam possible with Putin and there doesn't seam much hope after him, but let's hope there is.
We need to grow our renewables faster and optimizing our energy use. There is so much waste we can cut. We can also "load shift" to spread out our demand. There is so much we have barely started.
Both countries have a better equality score than us. If we were more equal, tax vs insurance might be more a academic. We are the most unequal in Europe and the rich see a insurance health system as an way to pay less. No, no and no.

It's mad the US is so mess up. Some of this is extern meddling, but a lot is just built in. The US need to realize it isn't the best structured democracy at all. Only two parties and open bribery is shockingly bad.
