Speaking of which, a recent Android update (I know I should change OSes) got rid of the little Lemmy.world web app icon thing I had installed and I haven't been able to get it back, so far. Does anyone know how to fix that? That was working great as my RIF replacement. I read it all again and I'm such a grandma. :(
When making grilled cheese, use a thin layer of mayo instead of butter for picture-perfect results. Might not be as good for breakfast toast, but would probably work fine. You can still add butter.
I like it. But I thought we were the pawns? I guess we could be pawn hippos, but that seems way too OP. Can you imagine an army with a frontline of armored hippos?
I've probably posted about it here before, but I lived in more than one trailer park and once stayed the night at a friend's trailer in a completely different trailer park. While outside, boys from the other side of the trailer park came over and started picking a fight with my friend's side of the trailer park and then a pinecone war ensued.
I also lived in a very ghetto house that produced my fear of cockroaches. I can't even. All kinds of stuff happened there, but most to the point, years after we moved out, there was a murder-suicide, then it got struck by lightning and mostly burned. I drove by as an adult and part of the tree in the yard had fallen on it. I guess it wasn't all bad, maybe, if I think back. Nobody ever sees my basketball skills coming, for example.
I lived in Utah for 6 years and loved driving through the empty parts of Utah and Colorado. Even Nevada sort of a little bit. I found it a far more stark, imposing, beautiful emptiness. Like "I could literally die if I broke down here...that's so cool." I remember one time driving out from SLC to Dinosaur, CO for the dispensary, and that stretch was just stunning. At one point, I had two dust devils spinning off to my right, and a rainstorm way off to my left over these lush, Shire-esque rolling green hills. I miss the west already.
I wondered if that was you! I knew you looked familiar!
