I've actually seen that a few times here on lemmy. Plus I saw someone discuss some of their more conservative opinions on a respectful way and they weren't downvoted or attacked. I mostly disagreed with what they said but it was nice to see actual discourse.
Why are you ok with making it difficult for those in underserved areas to vote? A lot of people don't have cars and don't live near a voting center. A lot of those people can't afford to take the day off to vote. I'm curious why you think they shouldn't have an easy way to participate in our democracy
Your example is faulty. If you upload an illegal copy of a book and I read it then tell people all about it, I am not committing copyright infringement
It's definitely better, but I looked at one chain that says has 22 replies but I only counted 12. I can't recall if there are actually supposed to be 22 or if the count is just wrong. But it's more than it was before
the whole point of GTA is that you can do whatever you want without affecting any real people.
multiplayer wasn't possible until gta5, so they weren't purposely making it not affect real people, that was just the nature of the technology. Gta online in its hay day was fucking amazing.
If they did a door some sort of a ban that includes seeing comments, it would apply to any device they've connected to your account regardless of if you're logged in or not.
I've tried on my phone browser, my computer browser, a different browser on my computer and incognito mode. All of them won't let me see any comments.
But then I try on my brother's computer which I've never used, and it works fine
