I believe with tmux, you should be able to do that, and even set up an automatic session with 3 ssh connects with named already configured. Hope that helps!
Yes, though to a much lesser extent than I used to. Sometimes it’s just through web searches that lead to Reddit, though I use Libreddit front-end for that.
And other times, it’s specific subreddits about TV shows. The level and frequency of discussion on Lemmy sadly is not there yet for popular shows, and nonexistent for niche shows.
Maybe it’s not so much about the technical part, but more on the legal part? Sure, they can use generative tech to do this and continue to improve upon it, but they don’t have permissions yet and this proposal is just to cover their bases. Hopefully SAG can shut it down completely, as one can presume that this looks like a “door-in-the-face” technique, and the industry will keep tuning the proposal until some actors give in and have big enough checks, which could then cascade to affect the whole industry.
Yeah these recent events really do start to look like The congress. I watched it only recently due to one of such events. Not sure I fully understand why people dont like it.
Anyway, the second half of it is just so eery, the reality distortion part, is sometimes both inspiring and uncomfortable. And I think there’s some potential parallel with generative AI.
With Dalle/ChatGPT, one may create virtually anything from already available data, just like people in the 2nd half can take on any form, which is inspiring to me.
But at some point, I guess both can lead to some loss in meanings, detached from reality. And eventually, instead of embracing beauty in diversity, people might turn to or get normalized to bias and conformity. Like how GAI may exacerbate unrealistic beauty standards, and how those people tend to choose only certain forms/figures to “be”.
omg this is like me with hotsauce. I found that subreddit a long time ago, and it was just so filled with awesome recommendations and reviews. There’s one on lemmy (just created I think) and people are slowly creating content on there. So I guess there’s hope!

This is section 7c in their TOS. I watched the video but still confused.
Does this essentially set a cap of max(user paid, 100) that OpenAI has to pay to users if there's any damage?
Or is that the cap that users pay to OpenAI when there's a lawsuit against OpenAI and their lawyers send users the bill?
If it’s truly anonymous, as in the admin of that instance can’t even know where that comes from, then it’s truly a moderation nightmare. It is easier to spot and suspend/ban one person who makes multiple nazi posts or spam posts across different channels under one account, than it is with multiple posts from one person without any link. Even if it’s not truly “anonymous” on the admin end but only on the other viewing end, it is easier for other users to inspect and report from viewing that person’s history, which cannot be done when the posts cannot be linked to an individual. Of course, one can make multiple accounts, but allowing anonymous posts + multiple accounts would be even easier to automate hate speech/spam/disinfo/…
