  • If logic worked on religious people, then there wouldn't be religious people. They will just say the bullet WOULD'VE killed him, but god stopped it and only hurt him with glass. God can't be proven or disproven, so those that want to see divine intervention always will.

  • I mean, sure? But we are getting pretty far into "what if" territory that can never be known and doesn't really matter. If he was hit by a bullet, or shrapnel from a bullet doesn't change the fact he was injured by a shooter.

  • Just one real basic search and....

FBI has been ‘corrupted’ by Hillary Clinton and the Trump-Russia probe

    • Rep. Tim Burchett (but it's fox so maybe don't give em a click, just not gonna keep looking)
  • That's not entirely true, his turn to republicans was a little sooner. Trump was the "Long Form Birth Certificate" guy all during the Obama years.

  • While still hating this living dystopia, I do appreciate some of cyberpunk headlines we get.

  • Train to Busan is without a doubt the best zombie movie I have ever seen.

  • when I'm about to have them hundreds of dollars getting my busted-ass, POS car fixed?

As someone who has only ever driven broken down POS, I feel for you OP. Focus on getting it running, not making it perfect. Wishing you well and hoping it's cheap! <3

  • The Republican District Attorney in Butler County, PA, should immediately file charges against Joseph R. Biden for inciting an assassination.

Why? Supreme court very explicitly said that it would be legal.

  • Prison officials tell ABC15 that if temperatures exceed 85 degrees, then ice is free.

    How generous...

  • Hi there!

I believe the old mods of vegancirclejerk were inactive, I was just recently promoted and hoping to change that perception! I agree, WAY too much unironic carnism is posted there.

  • Because I used an iPhone for most of my life and then realized what a walled isolated island it was. Android offers infinitely more freedom and I would never go back. The mere fact that you can't entirely customize an iPhone hoke screen is still shocking to me.

  • I had a girlfriends father insist on taking the whole family to the gun range as a "fun day out thing". Not my thing, but why say no to new experience? Besides her dad had always openly carried so it was clearly something HE was into, so being invited to family time with him felt like a kindness

But oh joy, was I thankful that a gun instructor was there, literally everything her dad said was corrected. From hand placement, to how to load to how to stand. The guy nearly kicked dad off the range at one point for having a loaded gun facing his kid.

Thankfully I never had to suffer his company since we broke up later, but it was a very eye opening experince. Being INTO guns definitely does not correlate with safe usage.

  • “We never meant for it to get this far, obviously,” one of the students said in the video. “I never wanted to get suspended.”

    🙄

Well, junior high is the time many kids learn that actions have consequences.

  • Clyde Prestowitz, president of the Economic Strategy Institute, went so far as to call the Defense Department lazy. He says the Pentagon should leverage the fact that “for companies in those areas, to have big business with the U.S. Department of the Defense is important.”

"I could've swore we had more influence than that. Amercia is still the world leader right? ...right!?"

  • "Run Aloy! I see the shadow of a T-rex on the horizon, if we hurry it will be 6 episode before it catches up!"

  • That's a shame... and also probably for the best.

  • I actually sort of am the opposite! Growing up my deadname had an unusual spelling. It was literally immposible for someone to spell it correctly on their first attempt. So every form filled out on my behalf had to be corrected, everytime my name was called there would be a double checking moment who I am. It was just a huge giant pain in the ass and even as a kid I knew I would change it, even for non trans reasons. So my chosen name is much more basic, it's actually one of the most popular names for my birth year.

I can't tell ya what a sigh of relief I give off when a cashier asks my name and just spells it correctly without giving it thought. that I can say who I am and people just... know that it's the person on the forum. So y'all are 10,000,000% valid and I love your damn the consequences vibes! But for me? I'm so happy with my basic simple unremarkable name.

  • Haaaa! I actually think Eleanore is a very pretty name, it has an elegant quality to me? Good pick! ♥

  • In contrary to my own comment, I entirely agree with this take.

  • As a trans person I am looking forward to being killed by a fascist screaming liberty.
