  • I saw Chappie for the first time last week and was moderately devastated to find out there isn't going to be sequels. It had so much style, humor and personality!

  • No one should be stabbed in prison, but of all the people who are, this is who I feel the least sorry for.

  • "This new decree blows the lid off the establishment's agenda, letting freedom-loving folks bypass the usual bureaucratic nonsense like language tests or history exams," Jones

Alex Jones, pro-immigration and a strong advocate of removing any process to naturalize citizens in a new country.

  • there are a number of vegans that think no one should own cats, and there are equally a number of vegans that think that cats should be fed a vegan diet with essential amino acid supplements rather than letting an obligate carnivore eat meat.

And there are WAY WAY WAY more vegans that work at animal shelters specifically trying to put animals in to homes.

The overwhelming majority of vegans do not do this. Like, I don't know how to convince you of this other than saying in that of being vegan for 8+ years, going to vegan specific fairs/conventions, reading vegan literature, particating in vegan discords and moderating a vegan community that I have never once interacted with a a person who actually did this.

IN THE VERY LINK YOU PROVIDE, vegans calling this behavior out and saying if they can't feed a cat meat, not to own one. This accusation simply isn't based in reality.

It's certainly a sentiment among vegans that gets amplified in any space where they tend to congregate.

    • Cannibalism is a sentiment shared among many meat eaters, that behavior tends to get amplified in those spaces, just look at Jeffrey Dahmer and Armin Meiwes. They are all like that.

No. It's a vanishingly small minority that you are pretending is a monolith because it's an easy strawman. Honestly you sound like the deluded pro-life folk who protest outside planned parenthood because they read online that post-birth 3rd trimester abortions happen all the time. I can't stop you from believing in nonsense, but it frankly makes you sound ridiculous.

  • This isn't an unpopular opinion. In fact, it's an extremely popular one. Every corner of the internet goes out of their way to say they hate vegans, This isn't even remotely original.

I'm not interested in changing your mind. You do as you like, and frankly it seems like you are just venting, so rock on. But if you are intersted in fact based discussions, I think you need to move past your the stereotypes, assumptions and flat out falsehoods.

Human suffering is not preferable to animal suffering.

No vegan thinks it is. I would kill an animal to save a human.

They force their shit into pets like cats who can't thrive on a vegan diet

Snuggling my non-vegan cat right now.

steal your pet from you so they can kill it

Crazy people of every community exist. Without question the overwhelming majority of vegans do not support the behavior of a few that have done this. That is exactly as fair as me saying carnists practice cannibalism because of the handful of psychopaths to do so.

And the rest of your points fall under the "no ethical consumption under capitalism" good place type arguments. However, I find it particularly egregious to say vegans don't mind slavery. If a human slave in involved in a plant based food, then it isn't vegan.

  • A woke mob is literally every mob. Sleeping people just sorta lie there.

  • I abundetly agree that is correct. But I am doing my best to try to think of her personal viewpoint, in JK's mind she is defending women from men. Hell, her stupid books are a racist allegory for how evil racism is, but when she gets praised from literaly white supramcists and dictarors, she makes excuses for being the greater good.

It's only when from her twisted perspective, she (for the first time) attacked an "actual woman", that she is finally giving pause. JK thinks she is feminist even if all she has done in actuality is outright misogyny. Which is why I am so frustrated, she didn't wake up to what a monster she has been, just that she needs to be more careful in who she "righteously" attacks.

  • Only because she attacked a cis woman. No consequences from the years doing everything in her power to targetedly harass individual trans peolle, the community as a whole or publishing books about trans serial killers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see her go quite, I hope she stays that way. But I'm bitter it wasn't a realization that her crusade was mysgonstic hatred, only that she was a zealot who accidently friendly fired.

  • I'm amazed that you are trying to take the high ground here.

According to the case notes, the attraction was mutual

It's irrelevant if the child is willing, they are not old enough to make those choices. She was 12 and had no capacity to agree to sex with a 19 year old. Especially one that gave her alcohol.

Like, stop talking about research start using a modicum of common sense.

  • Make sure not to drink any @dunkindonuts

    -Steven Crowder

Drink? I'm not entirely sure Crowder knows what a donut is.

  • Just so we are clear, that's not a line. US Citizens have been killed by the IDF.

  • Shireen Abu Akleh, a US citizen and veteran Palestinian journalist, was killed by Israeli snipers during a military raid on the city of Jenin in the West Bank.

    Nope. That doesn't matter.

  • Misandry is what some men call women discussing sexism. Look in the comment section of any "man VS bear" content and you'll see a lot of dudes calling the question "man hating misandry rage bait".

Msinadry is essentially the "reverse racism" and "anti white racism" for sexism. I'm not dismissing the concepts because there are always outliers with weird predjucies. But patriarchy and white superiority are historical trends rooted in centuries of history, laws and scientific studies, they just aren't comperable. Even if women and PoC discussing the ways those structures have hurt them is taken personally by some men.

  • 1984, the go to citation by people misusing the word "fascism".

  • I enjoyed those, but you're not wrong. The author cited Foundation as his inspiration for the books, and it suffers from all the same problems. Interesting concepts told with cardboard cutout ridiculous one dimensional characters.

  • I enjoy reading unreliable narrators, and so while you're totally correct. Holden is nothing more than an angsty privileged teenager who is angry at the world. That's what made the book fun for me, at a certain point his self serving lies and his cringe attempts to act like an adult are just funny.

I've found it's a good litnus test for people, just like Fight Club or Rick and Morty. You're absolutely allowed to like these pieces, but if you think those charcters are admiral than it's a super duper red flag.

  • Corporations are not people. They do not have a sense of identity. They do not deserve the same rights as humans. They are not capable of being affected by things like gender dysphoria. A corporation does not have feelings and is only a word we use to describe a collective form of actions made by ACTUAL humans.

You literally can not deadname a company. But Elon should understand the hypocrisy none the less.

  • I'm a member of the queer community and absolutely do not think this is a wise idea for this cycle. Maybe next time around Pete.

  • If logic worked on religious people, then there wouldn't be religious people. They will just say the bullet WOULD'VE killed him, but god stopped it and only hurt him with glass. God can't be proven or disproven, so those that want to see divine intervention always will.

  • I mean, sure? But we are getting pretty far into "what if" territory that can never be known and doesn't really matter. If he was hit by a bullet, or shrapnel from a bullet doesn't change the fact he was injured by a shooter.
