  • I would say that you are mis/uninformed about the history of healthcare, student loans, and financial securities in the US, and the role the US government played in screwing up each of those industries. But, I see that I'm on an ml community somehow, so I know that would fall on deaf ears, because government is part of capital or whatever. So instead I'll just say we probably don't share any points of commonality in our world view, take my slew of downvotes, and bid you good day.

  • The AMD cards have better performance with the in-tree driver than Nvidia does, so it is just a little bit easier with an AMD card. But it's really not that hard with Nvidia, so you do you.

Ext4 is perfectly fine for most uses, although some distros will default to btrfs. Whatever the default are in the distro you use are going to work fine

  • Thanks for taking the time to answer. I get that it is insulting, and clearly incorrect as applied to Mamdani. The part I don't understand is how this particular insult rises to the level of "hate speech". Like, if I called you a white nationalist, that would (presumably) be wrong and stupid, and pretty insulting, but not hate speech AFAIK.

  • Someone please educate me - what is the hate speech and bigotry in calling someone an islamist? I have heard people describe fundamentalist Muslims that way, in the same way you would use "evangelical" or "fundamentalist mormon". Obviously that doesn't fit Mamdani! But it doesn't strike me as a particularly egregious insult. Looking for clarity, not down votes and insults, please.

  • Small correction - he started SpaceX, and that company is wildly successful. That's mostly due to the incredible leadership of Gwynne Shotwell; but Musk did actually start that company.

That shouldn't detract from your point, though, because AFAIK that's the only successful company that he personally started

Intune is "supported" on linux, but not really
