  • My flight was canceled. Luckily that was a partner airline. My actual airline rebooked me on a direct flight. Leaves 3 hours later and arrives earlier. Lower carbon footprint. So, except that I'm standing in queue so someone can inspect my documents it's basically a win for me. 😆

  • I'm pretty sure she voted "present" for the Iron Dome funding, although the US Congress is complicated and maybe there were several votes (possibility even for the same bill). This predictably brought her criticism from both Zionists and pro-Palestine people.

She was indeed condemned for having an anti-semitism discussion. I don't know the details.

I am sure I wouldn't agree with every action she has made, but overall I find her to be a passionate, thoughtful leader.

  • Which is weird, because in those cases you can vote for whatever 3rd party candidate is closest to what you want. In the distant past I voted Green for this reason, knowing it didn't matter. (Since then the state swung left a bit and I vote Democrat. I even registered as Democrat to vote for Bernie in the primaries...)

  • I mean, she voted against military aid for Israel, she accused Israel of genocide in a speech on the House floor. She's called Israel an apartheid state.

I think that it's unfair to say that she supports the fascists in Israel.

  • Banking is completely different from voting from a security point of view. None of the parties in a bank transaction are anonymous, and there are numerous ways to retry or roll back a transaction. Computerized voting is more like crypto currency. 😝

  • My understanding is that on average there are differences in psychology between conservative and progressive people. For example, conservative people tend to be okay with unfairness, since from their point of view society is a hierarchy and of course the people at the top are better off.

Anyway, given that conservative and progressive people have a different vision of an ideal society and also different ideas about how to get there, it is reasonable to expect them at act differently. We know that most politically motivated violence is from the right.
