  • Honestly, that's pretty close to my reason. It's more like "I love hot tea, and celebrities are a guilt-free source of it," though.

It's kind of a mutually beneficial relationship, in a way. Many celebrities (not all, the ones that don't aren't ones I enjoy hearing about because it feels to much like invading someone's privacy) thrive on having their names constantly in the tables, and I get enjoyment from the schadenfreude. Kinda like pro wrestling, maybe?

  • Same for me, stopped doing it in high school ~2011. Felt weird and culty to me, so I sat for it. My critical examination only continued from there, and I grew up in a very conservative/nationalistic household.

So everyone should try not to worry about conservatives having all of the kids, lmao. Conservatives birth future leftists too ✌️

  • Fair enough, thanks for chiming in and correcting me! I'll remove mine too, so it's not overly antagonistic in an inappropriate place (though I do think what I said was accurate, just not the place to discuss it, haha)

  • Very cool question!!

-The Long Dark: I have hundreds of hours in this game across various platforms (maybe even a thousand-plus, all together?) and with the different settings to play with to change the difficulty in really interesting ways, I think I could easily sink another thousand. I'll leave the DLC behind, though, thanks.

-Red Dead Redemption 2: My favorite game of all time, even just as a cowboy-themed hunting and poker sim. If Baldur's Gate 3 and the stupid Guarma chapter didn't exist, I'd say it would be a slamdunk for best game of all time, period. I'm not autistic, but if I had a special interest, this would be it; it literally inspired my son's name.

-Elden Ring: In five years, maybe I could just figure out how to solo Malenia without cheesing my build, much less the final boss of the DLC :')

  • I'm not saying it doesn't make sense monetarily, I'm saying it leads to an altered perception by people who don't think too hard about it in regards to how other regions live during winter

  • They're prob one of those people who refuses to get a good coat. Classic Southerner behavior, tbh. We hardly ever have a true need for good winter clothes down here, so most people don't know how to layer properly to stay warm, so they think people living in colder climates are just freezing all the time. Because of barely having any inclimate winter weather, too, we don't invest in much infrastructure to keep our streets clear of ice/snow, so the roads are always terrible after snow storms. People generally won't shovel their walkways, either (even people who usually carefully tend their yards in other seasons!)

This leads to most people having a skewed perception of winter around here lmao
