I'm finally getting to Death Stranding and I'm an hour in and absolutely intrigued by the story. But at the same time completely lost. I look forward to all the reveals of what the hell is going on.

In western countries (likely where the author of this comic is from), the biological age of people in their 30s is far more likely to be somewhere in their 20s. I doubt most 30 year olds feel as old as they joke about.
It sounds like the basic story beats will be the same, but they plan to Switch it up. So also the anime? Graphic Novel? Comic? Wasn't done yet when the movie came out.
