Tbh, it’s probably a really weird week to be Canadian. Here’s confirmation about the importance of socialized hc, but also a bunch of uncomfortable “jokes” from your very unstable and militarily powerful southern neighbor.
Well yeah, but the oils separate and you can skim off the sesame oil, then filter the seed fragments out. Is it just the hassle? That’s understandable, but I’ve made butter and that’s a hassle too.
I’m not at all tech savvy[1], but it’s not that hard, honestly.
[1] context: I know that when a steam game doesn’t work, sometimes I need to reinstall a driver, but I never remember how or where to do that. I use an iPhone from 2016, and I unlock it with my fingerprint.
The English “wanderlust” comes from the German Wanderlust more recently (1902). In German, Lust is related to the English “lust,” but it’s got less of a sensual connotation. “Homesickness” also comes from German (1798), but it was translated into English.
English is not one of the hardest languages, otherwise people wouldn’t use it as a Lingua Franca. 90% of English is pretty easy (we barely even conjugate and have basically two cases, which can always be declined the same way, with only remnants of a third in personal pronouns), and the last 10% is mostly unnecessary (though it is much more difficult).
It’s entirely reasonable to make mistakes or have difficulties with English, and absolutely nobody should feel bad about it, but it’s not really a hard language in the way that Polish is, for example. Even that’s subjective: Polish is probably pretty easy to learn if your native language is Czech.
I bought cutlery a few years ago and decided to get exactly what I wanted, not what was standard, and I not only ended up with golden-colored, wood handled cutlery that everyone else thought was hideous, I only got fully round spoons, in both teaspoon size and standard soup spoon size.
I loved that cutlery. My old roommate… gratefully tolerates it. I just have a giant mouth and never realized it could be an issue, but even the small ones were surprisingly unpopular
Lol, that’s fair. I suspect it could be done with an animal fat, as long as it had been heated past melting, but it’s pretty unappealing to imagine
