I always wonder, do these people just don't know that lactase pills exist? Or is this just a case of "this food is so cheap that I can afford the lactase pills that I need to actually consume it without shitting my pants"?

My assumption: Very few people are willing to vote for a party that outright says that they're for racial segregation. So they invent a mostly unrelated issue that makes people ignore everything in favor of their stance on that issue. Then they can freely implement policies that keep the poor poor (e.g. the tax system, the justice system incl. the outrageous US prison system, and the hole "deliberately spread hard drugs in black neighborhoods" thing), which works to segregate because the recently desegregated are obviously overwhelmingly poor and uneducated. And that's despite the fact that poor white people also suffer from these policies, but because of heavy propaganda and single issue voting they managed to have a lot of those poor white people vote for them anyway.

Though I have a hard time believing that segregation was actually the main goal, instead of just making rich people richer.

Businesses don't usually just completely overrun entire neighborhoods, and "opening" doesn't mean "do whatever the fuck you want". You can still specify that you don't want night clubs or auto shops in a specific place.

Mixed zoning is the norm in Europe, and it sure as fuck doesn't ruin any neighborhoods, quite the opposite in fact.

I don't think they use exactly the same kind of bell peppers for ajvar as the one they sell in supermarkets. Fruit tend to be more tasteful when they don't have to look pretty. There's "hot" ajvar, too - not enough to make anyone sweat, but it has a certain spice.

Those are pretty big differences, and on top of that most SUVs are also safer than an F150 (both for the driver+passengers, because they aren't as rigid, and the people you might collide with). If you do need to haul furniture like twice a year, you can still rent a pickup truck.
