  • Hate rhetoric takes many forms, even if you killed each and every Nazi regardless of whether they truly believed in that crap or were just following orders, it would still probably be revived as something with a different name.

  • A lot of my favourites have already been mentioned, but one I didn't see is Peter Santenello.

He makes vlogs going into dangerous areas, ghettos, gang and criminal areas in general, or in really rich neighborhoods, and he hangs out with some locals asking them a lot about their life.

    It's really interesting stuff

  • As with most OS software, the usual method is by going to the github repo, checking out the README and Contributing guidelines and whatever else the documentation offers in that regard, and then looking through the open issues and see if there's something you'd like to solve. Sorting by 'good first issue' can be helpful too. You should definitely join the Matrix instance so you can ask something if you're stuck.

  • How trash of a person must you be to

    1. see someone at work having an obvious panic attack and instead of helping, "giving them out" (if it can even be called that in this case) to your boss
    2. fire someone after the previous cunt told you about a coworkers panic attack

I hope both of them learn what it feels like to be human someday and they won't be able to sleep for it

  • In a friend's neighborhood there's some kind of place that packs matresses into trucks everyday, and the whole area in general has a ton of matresses lying next to dumpsters as well as quite a lot of matress stores.

Something must definitely be going on there

  • First off, thank you for this awesome platform and for being my first real experience with contributing to FOSS, I learned quite a bit and I had a lot of of fun! I really hope Rust ends up becoming the new standard in web backends instead of Java with Spring/Springboot.

The only question I have that hasn't already been asked is about the legal side of things:

What are you responsible for as the developers of Lemmy, and what are you responsible for as the owners of a Lemmy instance?

Do you have to take certain measures to keep the platform clean from illegal activities and CP/gore? If so, what has been done?

The same question applies to GDPR rules for Europe.

    Thanks for doing this :D

  • I wish, companies just expect you to write garbage code as quick as possible, only to create tens of bugs afterwards that will take way more time than it would if they had left you enough time to do it correctly

  • KISS Launcher, it's dead simple and just what I need.

It clears all the clutter from my screen, I can search for any app I want without trying to remember where I put it on my homepage, and it has a history for quick access that's really handy.

  • What's the point of even "modernising" task manager?

Normies that would care about task manager being too ugly probably don't know it even exists.

There goes the last dependable program that Windows had to offer
