  • There is some video evidence. Though it should be noted that since most of the fighting is happening through artillery exchanges and drones, individual soldiers can not necessarily be identified because they are all wearing uniforms of the Russian Armed Forces. Actual close combat is fairly rare and from what I've heard from Russian soldiers so far, the North Koreans do get better equipment so they probably get preferential treatment and are second line behind the assault waves.

  • DPRK soldiers have only been deployed to the Kursk area so far.

  • More empty threats.

declaring that a conventional attack on Russia by any nation that is supported by a nuclear power will be considered a joint attack on his country

Isn't that exactly what has been happening in Kursk? Kinda late to do anything about it.

  • Cruelty Squad has been the most surprisingly enjoyable game that I've played in recent years. I initially thought the extremely positive rating was just elaborate trolling after looking at the screenshots.

  • I hope this is not one of those "you can use them, but only for..." situations again.

  • You can still buy and transport knives, they just have to be in a "locked" container. Basically just not easily accessible.

  • Not really. The police can search you without cause, it's the whole reason "Waffenverbotszonen" exist.

  • Unconstitutional in regards to which constitution?

  • Apparently it's called a Katsugyo Bag and used to carry/transport expensive fish for whatever reason.

  • There are also white and green ones to spice things up a little.

  • I've switched my KDE setup to Wayland a few months ago and have seen a performance increase on some of my games. For example, Cyberpunk feels much smoother than under X11.

But I'm facing the same issue you're describing in the native Linux build of War Thunder. It runs at a stable 144FPS on X11 but regularly dips down to 20FPS on Wayland. I initially thought it might be the NVidia drivers, but seeing that you've got an AMD card, I'm not so sure anymore. For now the fix is to just switch to a X11 session if I want to play this specific game. I don't think KDE will drop it anytime soon, there are still a lot of random quirks in Wayland at this point.

  • I've watched an 18 minute video of an Indian scammer talking to an answering machine randomly repeating one of like 10 pre-recorded voice lines. This one is most likely much better and will steal hours of their time.

  • Also for a lot of people, their social circle is partly there.

I get that, but at this point I'd actively try to get them to use a different site/app. I managed to move large parts of my friend group and my whole family to Signal. I'm now trying to get some to transition from Discord to Matrix, though moving there has definitely been not as smooth.

It should be much easier with Twitter, there are a bunch of very similar and usable alternatives. You just have to put in some work and convince people with solid arguments and support.

  • There are a lot of leftists still "fighting the good fight" on Xitter, even if the platform is pitted against them and all they do is drive engagement to it. I never understood why some people can't bring themselves to leave. I left reddit for much less.

  • The whole thing reads like the ramblings of someone with paranoid schizophrenia tbh...

  • Do not load the rocket launcher with a sledgehammer.

  • Lmao what? There won't be a push for Kyiv anytime soon. And not from Kursk on the other side of the country. Even the worst scenarios don't include Kyiv getting captured at this point.

  • Edit:

    😏

  • Doesn't really matter all that much since Europe is able to buy shells from non-European countries. South Korea manufactured more 155mm artillery shells than all of Europe combined in 2023 - and that is in addition to the ones that are produced in the EU.

  • Europe used to be Russia's largest trading partner before the sanctions. The US won't be able to bail them out.
