  • Yeah, that's the one. The Original Xbox Duke and the X360 controller are the GOATs imo. The Xbox One controller is also fairly decent but it took a while to get used to it.

  • It’d be cool if controllers could just be adjustable size

True, especially in width. I remember being extremely disappointed when I bought a PS3 and could barely play it because the joysticks so close together that my thumbs were constantly touching. I think the total amount of hours played on this system was somewhere in the double digits. Biggest waste of money of my gaming career.

  • And new ones are out of stock for some reason.

  • It looks like the inbred cousin of the Xbox "Duke" that ended up being surprisingly ergonomical. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely hope it's something close to that. Most controllers are too small for me.

  • Damn, that's a pretty impressive drop.

  • I think I know that guy, is he the one with a roman statue in his profile pic?

  • Agreed, the technical side is super impressive. The 2D character sprites are basically the only constant reminder how old this engine really is.

  • It could be used for other things like district heating at least.

  • What's so funny? It's in the isle right next to the headlight fluid.

  • Warcraft has to be the one of the most quotable games of all time.

  • How did you do it? Must be crazy to look back at it with all the things that happened in mind.

  • Did you even read my first paragraph? There are probably hundreds of drone videos of Asian looking soldiers in the Russian army at this point, but it's impossible to tell if they are North Koreans or just Koryaks from Kamchatka. There is no point in denying the North Korean involvement. There are a enough testimonies by Russian soldiers, sattelite images of transports and videos for it to be highly credible.

  • I specifically mentioned the "little green men" because it was Russia's way to funnel an army into an independent country while claiming that they are just part of a local militia.

It's not a direct attack and worked out pretty much perfectly in 2014. It would absolutely be a way to continue the conflict, even within NATO countries. Though they need to create a rift within the population first to make such an uprising believable.

Moldova is already at this stage and the leaked plans from the start of the war actually had Transnistria next up on their list.

  • The game is also "free" with Game Pass in case you have that.

  • The core gameplay and story seem to be very solid and bugs can be fixed in patches. 8/10 with upwards potential looks good to me.

  • The modern Russian government is essentially claiming the territory of the Soviet Union. The reason they started their invasion now is because it was the last chance before Ukraine would become a EU and NATO candidate. If Ukraine falls, Russia will rearm and try pull the exact same "little green men" strategy in the Baltic states, Georgia and Moldova next.

  • I don't think there are any other Instances aside from the default bsky.social‬ right now. It's only federated in theory and essentially a closed platform until that changes. Pretty sad that it gets all the attention instead of Mastodon.
