Hmmmm .... Another thing worth trying is replacing her bowl with a plate. This behavior could also be her telling you that she has "whisker fatigue." As you know, a cat's whiskers are highly sensitive. The repeated rubbing of her whiskers against the sides of the bowl could be causing her some discomfort and she is expressing this to the best of her ability. It helped me very much to consider this after you told me that she ate without hesitation for years. It could be that as she has aged, she is less able to tolerate the continuous triggering sensation of her whiskers rubbing against the side of the bowl as she is eating.
I am just an armchair cat behaviorist. I learned a lot from watching Jackson Galaxy but that does not make me, by any means whatsoever, an expert. If switching from the bowl to a plate does not solve the behavior, I think I would take her to the vet and just get her checked out with some blood work done. Cats are masters at hiding their pain and discomfort out of instinctual fear of predation.
I'm speculating here but your cat could be seeing your preparation as assurance that the food is safe for her to eat. By instinct, cats tend to be picky eaters out of concern for eating spoiled food that could result in serious illness. Cats are not scavengers and don't have the digestive system and metabolism for food that is not fresh. I think cats in colonies may behave the same way with each other to keep themselves safe. If my thought is correct, your cat is trusting your judgement and she may feel okay putting her life in your hands. This could be symbolic of a very strong bond. đ»
Ah ha! I don't know why you were down-voted here because this explains a lot. One must always consider the source of the research funding. It's best to have as independent and objective research as possible. Clearly Big Sugar is concerned about the loss of revenue from the recent improvements in taste and mouth feel of artificial sweeteners.
Let me ask for a minute: What angle does this come from? Who funded the study? Sometimes you have to ask yourself these questions because someone may have an axe to grind or money to make by conducting these studies. Just saying.....
I think I have smallish ear canals which may be the culprit because man do ear buds cause discomfort. I like headphones that completely cover my both my ears. I can wear them all day long without issue.
Even older Brothers bought used or refurbished are any excellent buy. They're workhorses. Anybody concerned could just buy an Asurion warranty to go along with it.
On another note, Brother laser printers are a really good buy. I have a used one that won't die and still on its original fuser assembly. Something like this from Amazon should work gangbusters. Just get an Asurion warranty just in case but Brothers are workhorses. And indeed the MFC-L2690DW does work with Linux.
I don't believe it's all that difficult. Best idea is to check either brother's website or the brlaser project on github. Here is something for you to read over.
I am watching some amazing things happen with social media decentralization that doesn't so much effect my work but my personal studies. Seeing this happening and wanting to be able to contribute to it, has encouraged me to try to learn web development again. This time I am going to go about it the smart way with thanks to The Odin Project. I am also keeping a keen eye on the burgeoning offerings of SD-WAN to the consumer market. Some really neat stuff is being contributed back to the community by Slack through their Nebula project.
It's an exciting time to study and experiment in FOSS right now. The internet is taking a dramatic shift back towards its decentralized roots. It's fun to be able to participate in ad-free discussions and without being shown content we largely do not want to see because an algorithm is steering us towards it to boost ad revenue.
I made it clear in the survey to praise the Adobe Engineer that worked with me today to finally resolve the issue. She was actually the picture of competence and backend knowledge. When my end user hung up, I actually asked her if she lived near me in my state because I was going to recommend her for an engineering position with my agency. I was truly that impressed. The rest of Adobe can get fucked with sandpaper for all I care.
I am impressed with this pair of Silensys PRO Bluetooth headphones. I got them on sale at Amazon for around ~54.00 USD and they're surprisingly adequate. I don't have the money to justify a better pair. They're even noise cancelling too.
Network Solutions!? What a godawful company they were to deal with back in the day. Loved it when their monopoly over domain name registration was cancelled.
