Started a fresh playthrough on the 21st and man the time they put in shows. Really wish companies like CDPR would go the Larian route of funding big projects like this instead of going public. Shareholders ruined CP2077 launch. It should have been delayed a year or two from its original launch. Instead it was rushed and then after launch they had to fix the rushed product before making/finishing the game they wanted to make. If CP2077 released as it is now or even slightly less polished, it would be considered a top 5 game of all time.
Lessons are there to be learned by other studios. Hopefully they are paying attention. Gamers will wait for a great game.
All that being said, I'm excited to hand over $30 now that I've seen the game perform. Stoked to see Elba.
I found that even at 3 hours long Oppenheimer was one of the most gripping films I've ever seen. Constant tension from not only the ramifications of developing a nuclear bomb, but also the intense and clashing political motives of each of the characters.
The kid likely had a preexisting condition or maybe some genetic disposition as hundreds if not thousands of people eat food at that heat level each day without incident.
Stopping plan B or contraceptives from being sold is the GOP end game. Then they can point to abortions rising which has more shock factor. Then they can claim moral bankruptcy in the US and push the Christofascism hard.
2060 super user here. I'm assuming you haven't made it to Act 3? The game has some performance issues there. I happily turned down the graphics to continue playing smoothly but was a tad disappointed.
I'm on my second playthrough though and they have patched it since my first experience so hopefully the evil campaign runs (visually) smoother.
I think I read another user said "they treated the time I have to spend on video games with respect."
And that line has stuck with me.
So while I don't expect anything close to BG3's scale or polish but every few years, I do expect not to buy a game and have the game hold its hand out for cash.
Saint Peter like "damn dude, come on in, fucking legend, bar is on the right, tell Gabriel to pour one for ya on me"
