Titles like this make it seem like Trump is the problem but he’s not, he’s a symptom. No fully functioning, rational party would have someone like Trump as a serious contender for POTUS.

The GOP has been on this path for decade's now going back at least as far as Nixon. We’re honestly lucky they picked someone as lazy and dimwitted as Trump; if they’d picked someone just as morally bankrupt and corrupt but with actual intelligence and cunning we’d already be living in a dictatorship.

We might still end up there but the sheer stupidity of the GOP and its leadership is giving us a second chance to reclaim our country before it’s too late. Vote in every election you’re eligible for from your state on down to you local county; they all count!

Getting rid of Citizens United would be a great first step but things were going downhill way before that. CU was just gas (continually) poured on an already burning dumpster.

But you’re right that money (and the corruption/influence it buys) is the root of all our political problems.

Um, no. The entire system is broken; the GOP is just the natural result and most obvious symptom of that breakage.

While this doesn’t excuse this treasonous idiot’s actions, I feel like nobody with half a brain would believe any specifics Trump recalls from memory about anything, let alone classified information.

Same. Unless I hear otherwise I’ll probably skip this one as, like you, I enjoyed the recent direction of the last 3 installments more than previous ones.

My understanding is, with possibly one or two short term exceptions, he hasn’t even had mediocre attorneys for years now. None of the big firms have wanted anything to do with him since before he was president.

No one deserves to have that happen to them but when you work directly for the “grab them by the p***y” guy, you really shouldn’t be surprised when it happens to you. Quite the “leopards ate my face” type scenario.

I have no idea how “big” drug busts on US bases need to be to be news worthy but the details of this bust seem underwhelming:

Agreed; it’s the disappointing but expected outcome. My guess is most we can legitimately hope for is that Trump isn’t able to sever his case from the majority of the other defendants.

I don’t know if it’s a stupid question or not but I have been wondering this myself for years. :)

Yes! Term limits are the answer, not age limits. It’s effectively the same thing but protects us in two ways (instead of just one: ie age) and does so without the slippery slope that an age limit would entail.

Yes, term limits are a much better solution as age restrictions can be a slippery slope.

Yeah the hassle/hardship that a lot of these people will endure due to these trumped up (no pun intended) charges is the real point; that and trying to deter others from using their rights to protest. I seriously doubt the prosecutors think they will actually win in court.
