  • My hope is that with some of the very large subs banned twitter, like r/nba, that will have a noticeable effect on engagement and reporters will move to bsky or anywhere else.

    I realize this is unlikely to happen, but a man can dream.

  • I’m not that guy, but the term IT is extremely overloaded these days. People can say they are in IT working anything from a $20/hr help desk job to a $900k/yr AI engineer in big tech.

    Industry, company, location can all have massive effects on salary.

  • People keep making this argument comparing TikTok to American social media companies when talking about data.

    What is hard to understand? Americans are fine with other Americans or American companies having their data. Americans are not fine with China having their data.

    It is pretty simple.

  • Same. I’ve had Michelin star meals, meals from world famous chefs, and everything in between. And sometimes the only thing I want is a McDs double cheese burger.

    Tastes are funny. Sometimes I want a steak and salad, sometimes I want a shitty greasy burger with a pile of fries.
