  • Yeah I really don't understand how many Americans are okay with people being murdered in prison.

Their sentence is prison, not death.

I think a lot of people want revenge over justice while at the same time mistrusting their justice system to work correctly...

  • I think the us is the only country tying taxes to citizenship instead of where you live or work

Or at least it's the only one that's relevant for European authorities since that's the only country everyone gets asked about while paying taxes

  • The most QOL inventory change would be being able to access everyone's inventory while in camp no matter if they are in my party or not

Having to constantly dismiss someone and get another character to join in order to move stuff back and forth is annoying as fuck

  • I mean I still have my Gmail account in my mail clients - just every time I get an email on it that's not spam I go to the account settings and change the mail account there

I haven't gotten a mail on it in almost a year so I think I'll unplug it and only login if needed

  • yeah - they put out statements that they will do everything they can to keep adblockers alive and even implemented a browser-level blocklist for the worst case - but let's see how that will work once Google starts turning the screws on Chromium tighter

  • And it's not just the salary for the representatives but they all also have a state-paid office and staff - so yeah...

There have recently been reforms to make the districts bigger to get less direct representation in total resulting in a smaller size overall.

I'd expect that especially with a 2-party system it's not as bad as you calculated though since the worst problem here is that a local party from Bavaria is winning almost all the direct representation spots there but gets way less votes in total in Germany which results to every other party sending way more people than they would need

  • You could do it as Germany does it and have a first past the post for local representation but then scale up the size of the parliament to actually represent the amount of relative votes per party.

Tbf right now that makes our parliament the 2nd biggest in the word which is fucking expensive but at least you have representation and actually having your vote matter in region that's deeply one-sided against for party
