I think this is all really subjective and depends on how your team does work. Getting people to work with you or understand things is a communication problem, and in my own experience, being in the office didn't eliminate those issues.
I agree there are times to be in the office, but it damn sure doesn't need to be every day all the time. IMO people need to adapt, be smart and figure out what works for their teams and themselves, not hold themselves to tradition for its own sake.
Managers should be empowered to make these decisions to do the research and figure out the best strategy for their situation, and I think many would like that responsibility.
This person is purposely being controversial for attention, they don't truly think this, nor is there any evidence productivity has gone down due to remote work.
Everyone's experience is different, I will say that nobody has checked me and I have a job that usually requires it. My degrees are in a box somewhere, I haven't pulled the out in a while, just a reminder of the money I had to spend.
I appreciate people sharing their work, and criticisms of anti consumer practices in gaming. This article gets kind of rambly quick and I think distracts from whatever the main idea or message is though.
I hear you, but I will say that there's a lot of indy games out that are great but mimic the graphics (and requirements) of old. Crow Country is a good one top of mind.
Point being it's more about what people want to make, IMO.
Theoretically, Javascript is an untyped language, so there aren't supposed to really be static types. Giving type errors in this situation would be against design.
I know this is for fun, but as general advice to the homies, if a language or system is doing something you didn't expect, make sure to look at the documentation
