  • I suspect (and hope) that you are just unable to see it differently and cant try to view it from a different perspective. But it still is not healthy to behave this way. Please seek help.

  • I mean, you do advertise that you're perpetually angry but youre just rude and disrespectful. Your vague reproaches arent anything to work with, in case you really didnt know that. It like screaming "do your own research' when certain groups are unhappy with science. Thats not how people function, it is ableist and unbecoming. Please do better.

  • And you dont find it weird that not all companies in japan go bankrupt because they have to literally claw back devices after sale to keep their patents? I know us autists can get stuck on ideas easily but do you see how their behavior is overzealous at best and this explanation being plain apologist bs at worst?

  • Apple has reportedly sued people trying to figure out the communication protocols and chips on hardware those people own.

Aside from the specific hackintosh problem, apple is no better.

  • Linke gruppen sind sehr dezentral wegen der hohen repressionsgefahr. Du kannst mal nach "infoladen" gucken. Gibts eigentlich in jeder stadt. Auf dem land ist bisschen mehr suchen angesagt.

  • In germany, we have places where you can share your plant seeds and such. They're usually connected to other social institutions and leftist spaces.

  • I think it isnt a great idea to go for new ever. Why would you? You can buy 10+ yr old computers for 10$ or get them for free. It is far better for the environment and far cheaper.

  • I think its great. Hopefully, they drown into chaos. Of course thats bullshit because i dont want those to suffer who didnt vote for the orange guy but everyone who did better eat their shit sandwich.

  • That has nothing to do with windows 10 looking like kde.

  • I think the best solution would be to talk first.

Gather 10 reasons why it makes sense. For example, its wayyyyyyyyy cheaper to run linux, ethics, etc. Dont wait for them to get frustrated but approach them first and build up an ethical primacy. Thats how i do it and it works.

From there, you ask them what they need. "Just works tm" is sadly how autocracy works. Under hitler and mussolini, healthy, white, party loyal people had a "just works" situation. Dont ask, dont tell. But foss is democratic. It is messy at times.

Reality is, you can make linux work. If something is really stubborn, you make a vm. Shockingly easy! But if someone wants that polish, that plastic world with 14 year olds with pumped up lips and butt implants, you need to let them go. They are lost and need to face reality.

  • Semantics but gnome and kde were there first. It is android that looks like gnome and windows that looks like kde.

  • Of course its no different to reddit. Lemmy is supposed to work similar. The big difference here is that it is less homogenous. You can see that there are many different communities for the same topics that are even similar in numbers. The top down capitalist rule isnt the default and not the best or only one that works. Its what we all were socialized in.

  • Incorrect. You would have no problem whatsoever if you had no company and just hosted in europe.

Companies under the cloud act only have the ability to disagree if the country in question has an agreement with the us which currently only great britain has.
