Gen X here. I was such an avid reader until my late 30's and I have no idea what happened. It was either when I emigrated from my country and maybe I had too much on my plate, or the internet finally taking its toll on my ability to concentrate.
I'd say xenophobes are a reality but fortunately a minority and their xenophobia is generally low intensity. YMMV if you are poorer and/or darker, but I think in general you'll be welcome if you are coming to stay, specially if you make an effort to learn the language. If the place you want to go has a regional language (Galician, Catalan, Basque, Asturian...) nothing gets to most locals' hearts quicker than a foreigner learning that too (and the regional governments normally offer free courses).
Catalan has sheep to mean slut. Woodworm for somebody that pesters or annoys insistently. Ferret for a sly person. A rat, contrary to other languages where it's a traitor, is more used for stingy people.
There are also lists for time and date and for phone numbers. It's an article format that I love because it gives you a lot of insight into a topic even if it's not your field of knowledge.
Sorry but if Indigenous people are like a 3% of the total population and that table shows absolute numbers, you have the per capita calculation very wrong.
If your way of making money makes you really fear people will be mad at you, you should be asking yourself what's wrong with your way of making money. That is, if you care. But if you don't care don't whine.
