  • I don't see how this could come as a suprise to anyone as it was common knowledge of you follow this stuff that they failed to request a jury. I think hearing it in court would be like "ok, it's official".

There's really no way out for Trump in this one, now, from what I understand.

I'm guessing his lawyers did not tell him what happened, were playing dumb, and are hoping he's too clueless to realize it's their fault he can't even hope for a lone, contrarian jury member to get him out of this.

  • I had a thing thing on with a bookcase and told them I was sick of haggling; they could have it for free, it's at the end of the driveway.

My buddy picked me up to do something right after and helped me take it down to the end of the driveway. He said if it's there when we get back I'll take it (he drives a van for his business).

He dropped me off hours later, 3 hours after the guys said they would come and the bookcase was still there, it was going to rain, so we loaded it into his van.

As we're doing this the brodogs show up in a car way too small to handle this item and acting like they would fight us over this transgression. Lol.

  • I looked after a house that my brother owned while he was out of the country for a few years. The first tenants were a group home that destroyed the place so much we had to gut the drywall and they never paid the rent until I hounded them endlessly every month. Every month.

The other tenants were just regular families and pretty good for the most part.

I would say I was dealing with something related to that house all the time. Every three weeks for stuff. Leaky faucet, roof shingle gone, branch fell on the lawn, sewer backed up. Big and small, all the time.

And they always called late at night or very early in the morning. This was before texting and email was common, etc.

My brother was paying me to do this, I would have done it for free but he insisted, but I was so glad when he sold that place.

I dealt with everything promptly. A family friend ran a property mgmt business and his crews did all the work promptly and billed us direct. People still always seemed annoyed and dissatisfied. Never again.

  • I always did but we moved across country as a lot of stuff just got tossed. You know that old radio in the garage covered in paint, and the clock radios no one uses anymore, etc. My mother's house has one in every room, I think (except bathrooms and maybe the living room, ironically).

  • Most people won't read until that last paragraph, ha ha.

Thanks for writing this up. I have always been concerned that my car is the nearest FM radio. I always kept a clock radio stashed in my basement "workshop" area but it was thrown out at some point along with the old rotary phone I had with it.

My son has a beginner electronics kit that can build a very low powered transmitter so I got him a cheap usb chargeable AM/FM receiver with an aux in, speaker, and headphone jack for next to nothing. The antenna is actually extendable and doesn't suck. Going to stash it when he's done with it. Could come in handy.

Charges with usb micro 2.0.

  • I have no idea and was wondering the same thing.

Some bears will have a GPS tracker on them. Maybe they got a distress call and colocated out with a bear that had a GPS locator?

I guess you could have a dedicated "press if you see a bear" device but I've never heard of it (which doesn't mean much, really).
