I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said. My biggest reason for not using Vivaldi is due to it being based on chromium. I’m trying to do my best to reduce the market share of chromium based browsers

I second EndeavourOS. Installation is dead simple and it’s given me no issues (that weren’t caused by me tinkering) over the last few months.

For the most part, that works fine. It’s more of a convenience feature since I can quite easily switch between different sites I have saved in the panel.

True but isn’t it safe to assume the OP meant desktop (considering the community)? There aren’t that many people using Linux phones.

I suppose since more than one response is related to mobile apps, it’s not a safe assumption that the OP intended for desktop apps/programs.

I have not, I’m using Standard Notes at the moment. I’ll have a look at QOwnNotes though, thanks for the recommendation

I’ve been trying to figure out a way to use vanilla Firefox instead but also have a web panel like Floorp. Being able to open and close a webpage on the side like that is pretty handy. Vivaldi has the same feature but I don’t want to use that.

Minecraft runs great for me as well.

Prism Launcher seems to be well support on Linux and Minecraft runs fine on Linux (for myself and others) it could be that they’re trying to run a cracked version. Or that and a combination of poor hardware specs for what they’d like to do.

You can't really complain that your pirated stuff doesn't work right, lol.

Gave me a good chuckle when I read that. There’s no guarantee that it’d perform well on Windows (pirated software in general), why should it on Linux.

Not necessarily unheard of but Floorp has been pretty great for work. I think all of the other applications I use are well known within their respective niche (e.g JOSM)

I was never able to fully get into Logseq, might give it another try at some point.

Gnome on laptops (gestures just work really well!) and KDE on desktop. Although I don’t use half of the customisation features of KDE

I saw an extension the other day that let you choose which mapping service you want to use when clicking a link to a map. You could click on a Google Map link but have it open in OpenStreetMap. If I find it again I’ll update here

True. I’m thinking that if we have 20% of the population using Linux at work (like you mentioned), it would still help in converting others who use more specialised software (not just a web browser)

I’ve not used it myself but I’ve only heard good things about bazzite
