  • Resigning is the cowards way out...

It won't take much goading for him to stay and fight a "heroe's fight". All these idiots really want is people to tell them they're strong, at this point it would be unethical not to psychological manipulate them to fight each other

  • which assesses modern science’s ability to detect evidence of a prior advanced civilization,

We can't, we know we can't.

It doesn't even take lizard people millions of years ago.

Past 50k years is a blank spot. Anatomically modern humans have been around for at least 300k years.

They say it took the ice age ending so we could have agriculture, but that ignores we had 3-4 ice age cycles before the last one where humans were running around. Plenty of time for agriculture each cycle.

Even then, during the last ice age the Sarah desert was a lush rain forest the entire time.

The modern timeline is very Euro-centric, which is an incredibly naive view considering the glaceriers from an ice age are basically a giant bulldozer that erases everything. It plows down mountains. Obviously we won't find any evidence there, it keeps getting erased every ice age.

And the places around the equater that would have fostered large settlements, are under the ocean due to those glaciers melting.

Just like with everything else, it's incredibly ignorant to think we know everything and there's no missing pieces of the puzzle

As a violent psychopath once said:

The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.

  • The DNC getting things together!?

    The biggest thing:

    https://democrats.org/news/dnc-and-asdc-announces-organize-everywhere-win-anywhere-strategy-largest-ever-monthly-dnc-investment-into-democratic-state-and-territory-parties/

You may have seen articles about how two "union leaders" gave up on the party as well...

The thing is, they were both superdelegates who sat on the committee that have been influencing primaries to favor neoliberals, and one of them even tried to go against the primary results and give it to Hillary in 08.

Don't expect the media to portray things accurately, it's all owned by billionaires who would rather have a Republican than a progressive.

And this wasn't a sudden overnight response to the 2024. The DNC is ~400 voting members who maybe get to vote for a chair every four years, if a Dem becomes president they name a chair.

That group of ~400 have been moving left for decades, it's just that we finally reached the tipping point. We can't afford to slip like with Obama, and if I went into why 08 didn't fix the party this comment would be 10x as long

  • It’s assuming the Dem Party doesn’t sabotage their own candidates

    The party is the DNC

The DNC is a dictatorship controlled by the chair

You don't have to guess what kind of chair Ken Martin is, he was Minnesota's chair for a decade and that track record stands for itself.

He's already purging out old guard committee members, did a 180 on the flow of money between states and DNC, openly advocates for voters deciding the platform via fair primaries...

Like, not as a personal dog, but the overwhelming amount of people complaining about the DNC just aren't up to date on what's happening

  • would remain in five or six million years if we all just vanish?

    Literally nothing...

10-20k years left and the only thing left would be like Mount Rushmore and other giant stone monuments.

At 5-6 million years it would only be the layer of plastic in landfills from before bacteria evolved to break it down and nuclear test sites if the future society does isotope testing there. Both things that have much more logical explanations than an ancient civilization with no other evidence.

  • For the few people who genuinely want the answer on why it's even this high:

It's a lot easier to trick people that the wrong person is causing their issues, than it is to convince them that their issues don't exist and everything is actually great.

Biden/Harris spent the whole campaign talking about how great "the economy" was doing, but they were talking about investments made by the wealthy, not the average Americans quality of life.

This won't be an issue next primary, because no neoliberal can win a fair primary. For the first time since 08 the Dem candidate in the general will be the one most Dem voters want to be there.

That will drastically help turnout across all demographics

  • For most of American history, taking away citizenship has been rare. But it increased dramatically during the 1940s and 1950s during the Red Scare period characterized by intense suspicion of communism. The United States government targeted people it thought were communists or Nazi supporters. Between 1907 and 1967, over 22,000 Americans lost their citizenship this way.

This is why it's not good enough to simply stop doing horrible shit...

We need to change the laws to prevent future admins from abusing them

  • You don't need to jump straight to cooking full meals.

Stuff like rice/beans with some sauce can be made in like 2 minutes. Like, with as much effort as ramen.

But that stuff will stay in your stomach and slowly get digested, so you'll need less energy drinks at the end of the day.

But cooking is like anything, start out small and easy and then just slowly start adding stuff. Once doing the small things feels natural, add an extra step or two. Like just throwing a chicken breast in a pan.

Even if you used to be a good cook, it sounds like you need to go back to basics and work yourself up to the fancy stuff.

  • You...

You think the result of the NYC mayor's Dem.orimaty is a shakeup in the DNC?

The reason so many people aren't aware the DNC got better, is apparently they have no idea what the DNC is...

and frankly the number of politicians in the DNC you’d need to oust to dislodge the neoliberals

Like, you just fundamentally do t know how this works...

You're conflating any elected politician at even city level, with the voting members of the DNC...

And like. You know the chair election was 5 months ago? Right?

You're acting like it's a hypothetical that something that has already happened might happen?

How the fuck did 21 people read you comment and no one tried to help you understand?

  • Jon Stewart is not impressed with the Democratic Party’s plan to craft a Project 2029, which he said will just be a “a rehash of all the consultant driven, careful nonsense” that caused them to lose the presidency to Donald Trump.

It's not the party doing this...

It's the neoliberals that were run out of the DNC creating their own club and hoping progressives fall for the bait and fight to be included in a place they have no power and will be ignored.

Don't take the bait. Let them hold their own meaningless meetings about what the least they can do would be.

Stewart was pretty specific about who/what he was complaining about, but articles are missing the details and all of them seem desperate to turn people off from the new and I proved DNC now that neoliberals don't control it.

  • Phillips appeared confident that Democratic voters across the country would recoil from candidates like Mamdani—despite recent rallies in red districts where progressive Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who both endorsed Mamdani, have drawn crowds of thousands of people in recent months during Sanders' Fighting Oligarchy Tour.

The DNC is also hitting red/purple areas again instead of just using them to funnel donations to the DNC:

    https://democrats.org/news/dnc-and-asdc-announces-organize-everywhere-win-anywhere-strategy-largest-ever-monthly-dnc-investment-into-democratic-state-and-territory-parties/

The only reason Republicans have a chance at House and Senate majorities, is we've spent well over a decade avoiding any fight we didn't know for sure we could win.

That's now longer the case since the neoliberals got the boot from DNC leadership.

That's why we're going to keep seeing articles like this where formerly powerful neoliberals are going to keep saying the party is fucking up. They desperately want to turn people away from the primaries even if it gives Republicans the general.

  • “Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical grounds,” Angela Paxton posted on X. “I believe marriage is a sacred covenant and I have earnestly pursued reconciliation. But in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to remain in the marriage.

“I move forward with complete confidence that God is always working everything together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose,” she wrote.

    God says no divorces...

Henry the 8th was the one that said divorces were cool with God, probably because it was starting to look bad how many wives he was executing

  • In an actual free market all the corporations would act like this, because shit like this is what people want out of a business they patronize.

You will recall that there was a bit of a fuss a month or so ago when an undoubtedly-harried GameStop employee stapled some customer receipts directly to Nintendo Switch 2 boxes—and through the boxes, and into the Switch 2 units themselves. It was all quickly resolved, without lawsuits or fistfights, and with the ugliness now behind it GameStop is looking to make some proverbial lemonade by auctioning off the Switch 2 killer for charity.

No lawsuits, no fight required by affected consumers

The company made it right and turned a bad situation into a PR move that helps a charity.

I really thought we'd see some kind of ethical capitalism out of the whole GameStop thing but it never really spread.

  • This happened a while ago, the son was waving his dad's severed head around on YouTube after bragging about it. All because his dad had been some low level federal employee.

But especially with how "ice" refuses to show ID, I've been worried we'd see more of these "citizen arrests" where crazy people try to arrest someone then "stand their ground" when their commands aren't followed.

We can't count on Trump's FBI keeping tabs on this shit.

  • The timing of the memo is sensitive, coming before key elections in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and possibly France. It also references recent elections in Poland and Romania.

Critics fear the memo signals U.S. support for far-right candidates and could encourage political interference in European elections.

They're 100% going to meddle in elections, that's a bipartisan issue:

Speaking to the Jewish Press about the January 25, 2006, election for the second Palestinian Legislative Council (the legislature of the Palestinian National Authority), Clinton weighed in about the result, which was a resounding victory for Hamas (74 seats) over the U.S.-preferred Fatah (45 seats).

“I do not think we should have pushed for an election in the Palestinian territories. I think that was a big mistake,” said Sen. Clinton. “And if we were going to push for an election, then we should have made sure that we did something to determine who was going to win.”

    https://observer.com/2016/10/2006-audio-emerges-of-hillary-clinton-proposing-rigging-palestine-election/

Seriously, fucking up other people's election is one of America's favorite pass times and largest open secrets.

It would be naive to expect trump to be the only president who didn't do it

Which doesn't mean it's ok trump is doing it.

It means we need to be pissed anytime a president does it, not just when it's trump
