The balance of power in Ottawa has shifted to the Bloc. So what does it want?

  • A judge granted the search warrant in April 2022, nearly a year after Sodhi spoke with investigators.

The more than three years that have passed since Sodhi first raised concerns have already played into the disciplinary proceedings.

In May, an RCMP conduct board dismissed allegations against a fourth Coquitlam Mountie who admitted to his involvement in the Signal group because the proceedings had stretched beyond a 12-month limitation period prescribed by the RCMP Act.

That's fucking atrocious. Three gd years????? And one asshole got off because of the time lag????

  • The other alleged victim died of a drug overdose after the suit was filed. Source is a link in the article.

  • Male-led religion ...

    ftfy

e- I see all the power males who never want to admit they still hold the balance of power in every society have shown up en force.

Good for you boys. Maybe it's time to start taking responsibility as well.

  • Georgia has almost 7.6 million eligible voters Source

So Georgia is gonna hand count. Riiight. 🙄

  • Remember how he fucked with TOs city hall?

When they show you who they are, believe them.

  • That's it. You count the cost and choose whether or not to pay it.

  • Back in the day I did that on Twatter and it helped a lot.

  • There should be a national law that says if you post verifiable lies on public media - whether it's social media, interviews or statements made on TV/YT - you will be charged.

The fuck this shit keeps on happening without any legal way to stop it.

  • And, surprisingly, the academics were correct. There is no meaningful difference at this point that we can discern as to whether you post bond, or you don't, as to whether you're going to show up in court.

Glad to see they relied on real data instead of staying stuck in fear-mongering mode.

  • Ok, let's say it a different way.

You have blond hair, but the person who delivers your mail hates blonds and refuses to deliver to you. They deliver mail to everyone but you, and because there's a rule that says the postal worker can choose who they want to deliver to, you can't force them to.

So now you have to go all the way to the post office to pick up your mail because you have blond hair.

That's the crux of the argument.

  • Finally we're into the fun part of the 2024 US election cycle where Matt Gaetz gets raked over the coals.

    Popcorn for everyone!!!

  • Wendell Potter spent decades scaring Americans. About Canada. He worked for the health insurance industry, and he knew that if Americans understood Canadian-style health care, they might ... like it. So he helped deploy an industry playbook for protecting the health insurance agency.

Here's an archived piece Wendell wrote for WaPo about what he did and how he did it.

The health care scare: I sold Americans a lie about Canadian medicine. Now we’re paying the price.

  • A few stats for reference ...

    • phosphorous feeds the growth of blue-green algae, which can choke out animal life by reducing oxygen. It also releases toxins that can cause illness and even death in animals and humans. Source
    • Minnesota and North Dakota contribute approximately 60% of the phospherous loads in Lake Winnipeg (from the flow of the Red River) Source
    • blue-green algae blooms on Lake Winnipeg have become so large they can be seen from space Source
