I waste my time on a website I found years ago on r/beermoney that pays pennies for installing and playing shitty games. Most of them are the garbage match 3 or dominoes or whatever. I figured out most of them still pay out even with my ad blocker on so I just dissociate with that instead of doom scrolling sometimes.
It's not the greatest thing ever and I know it's bad for privacy and capitalism and for many other reasons, but I've made like $600 on it in the last 3 years so that's been cool.
How many people have to die of negligence before it becomes an extermination camp? Or does the term extermination camp necessitate active acts of murder?
I wouldn't want to give any money to her but I also wouldn't be opposed to purchasing HP books from a thrift store that donates funds to charity and then burning them just for the sake of removing just a little bit of her legacy from the world.
I don't know what face scan as I haven't flown into the states in a very long time.
In Canada we have a machine at customs that takes your picture when you come into the country. This isn't optional. I take the opportunity to make the absolute most ridiculous face I can every time and it brings me copious amount of joy. It then prints out a little slip that I give to the customs person at the gate who is usually chatting and doesn't even look at it. I imagine those slips go somewhere, though I couldn't really care less where.
Bill c5 and bill c2 seem to be a lot more overreaching than what the liberal government was putting out before, plus they at least had the NDP to safeguard a bit. I certainly feel like they're moving in a bolder (worse) direction.
I've been yelling about this bill for weeks. It's an extremely disturbing government overreach, but this seems to be the way the new liberal government is moving in general.
This is a bit different than what I think you were asking but when I was a kid my dad would lift me up by my ears as a fun game. He'd essentially hold me by my head and lift.
When I was around 18, I went to play this game with a kid, and then I said what my dad always said before he'd lift me up by my ears: "okay, but you have to hold on to my arms for safety!"
Gotta say I felt a little betrayed when the realization sunk in.

Sounds silly but Enema of the State (Blink 182) also causes me to have a strong emotional reaction mostly because of Adam's Song but it's also just one of my favourite albums of all time so it brings up lots of emotions, good and bad.

Someone just set off a bomb in front of a politicians office in my province. Not confirmed but fairly certain that was a protest.
Pride turned more into a celebration rather than a protest in recent years with the capitalization of it, but due to recent regression I can imagine it going back to more intense protests in some towns at least now.
Depends where you live but most of the time the government does try to keep even controversial protests pretty light with the excuse of keeping people safe, but there's always more extreme action that people take, it maybe just doesn't get shown as a "protest" per se.
Is there any chance that the judges can "buy" their survey responses? E.g. if they pay off the people taking the survey? Or is it all totally anonymous?
This is why many people I know have started referring to themselves as members of the "global majority" rather than "minority".
But also, yeah this is a class war and if the lower classes stopped perpetuating the division that the wealthy/powerful have forced on us, we could all make everything better. Eat the rich.
