  • people were being manipulated.

they were told that "trump would fix everything. on day one, the economy would be booming, and everybody would have well-paying jobs again."

now, where is that reality? trump lied, and people are realizing that. that's why they're angry.

  • i mean, consider the following:

when i was a kid, the general societal narrative was that you're a man, you gotta be strong, you gotta not be so sensitive, certain things just have to get done, man up.

If you're exposed to that mentality 100% of the time, and you absorb it and live exactly by these rules, then certainly you would expect to be well-liked, having fulfilled all the rules and all, no? That is why people having that kind of toxic behavior always think they're well-liked: because they follow all the advise they were given when they grew up. so certainly, things must be alright for them, no?

  • it may be more successful short-term, like a king getting into power because of a coup. but if the king isn't well liked, he has a difficult life. peaceful progress, on the other hand, brings lasting progress.

  • it seems to me as if we're mostly seeing videos about Israel getting hit in the news.

That matters because it distorts public perception: It makes it seem as if mean Iran is bombing Israel, while in fact it is also true that Israel is bombing Iran. It's about proportional reporting of facts.

  • multi track drifting

  • still an important question

sometimes you hear people say that when we have "figured out everything about physics", then we'd have figured out everything about the world, as the world is guided by physical principles.

  • Even if they had a complete model of all of physics, it still wouldn't answer all questions, as a lot of important data is just random. Whether nature decided to go with D-molecule or L-molecule is essentially random.

  • Demand for human workforce is primarily caused by the economy's growth. It requires significantly less human workers to maintain an economy.

  • Where are the videos from the Iranian perspective?

Why are we giving Israel a stage, but not Iran?

  • As always, the article primarily gives the view as seen from Israel, Tel Aviv; But where is the view from Iran?

  • I'm probably the only person i know irl that wants to have kids. Every one of my colleagues is rather against it, and i totally understand them. Economic difficulties, environmental protection, ...

Yet i do feel like having kids would be nice. I'd definitely love them. That's all i need to know.

  • COULD YOU PLEASE STOP SHOUTING I HEAR YOU VERY WELL WITHOUT THAT, THANK YOU.

  • what might also work is balloons filled with paint, thrown against the windshield of their vehicles. does no permanent damages, but makes it difficult to leave the area hastily.

  • I guess when they say, she bathed in milk, they mean, she bathed in cum?

  • philosophy is bullshit if you don't take it seriously, at least.

  • What does "6th graders" mean? After 6 years of total education, i.e. at age 12; or 6 years of high school, at age 16?

  • I often wonder whether the type of "mutual respect" that modern movements teach is actually just a way to disable people from taking effective action, as everything is considered "too extreme" these days (at least for a normal person to do it).
