Same way that twitter dying did. A lot less terminally online and less prone to doom scrolling. I do have less time now though.... due to being on lemmy...
I like how you can block individual sites from search results, prioritize search results from specific websites, etc. It's quite steep, but I feel it is worth it if you can afford it and are able to justify such an expense. For disclaimer, I don't currently use it because I can't justify such an expense but I likely will in the future.
Hm, not too sure how I feel about this. I like it for preserving archival posts and moving community mod posts over, but it has the potential to really spam communities if done en masse by regular non-mod users. Lemmy really has succeeded the most so far at focusing on quality over quantity.
I'll give the video a watch. I will say though I didn't mean that I believed him completely, I just feel inclined to a degree. Some of his stuff is more than a little kooky.
I can vouch for this, it works pretty well. Lemmy's ansible is extremely busted and this was the only I could get it to work without it fully breaking every time my server rebooted.
Also, If it throws an error at first do this to make the initial config generator executable. Some systems might require this, some won't. Mine did. While in the base ezlemmy directory do this.
