  • The nuclear event would just be D - destruction. MAD, mutually assured destruction, is a political status. We are in the political status of mutually assured destruction should the USA ever follow through on its psychotic ramblings about winning nuclear wars and reserving the right to a nuclear first strike.

  • What the fuck? The USA has been pursuing nuclear first strike capabilities for decades, is the only major power that officially holds a nuclear first use policy, is the only country to use nukes in conflict and they chose to use them on civilian population centers of an adversary that was literally negotiating a surrender. The USA unilaterally pulled out of multiple nuclear treaties and it gave the colonial project of Israel nukes in violation of non-proliferation.

MAD is the only thing protecting the rest of the world from the psychotic nation that is the USA

  • You don't understand whataboutism and can't tell the difference between it and corroborating evidence.

Whataboutism is when I say that the owner of the plant says there was an attempt at nuclear terrorism and you say Russia commits war crimes.

Corroborating evidence is when I make a bold claim like the USA is engaging in nuclear brinkmanship and then provide historical evidence to support my claim.

Do you see the difference or can you only hear "screeeeee I am a Russian apologist bot paid by the Kremlin"?

  • Way to deflect into whataboutism.

Nuclear brinkmanship is the USA's behavior. The only country to use nukes on people was the USA. The USA is the one who violated non-proliferation giving nukes to Israel. The USA is the country that has pulled out of nuclear treaties. Bush 2 was openly calling for the development of tactical nukes. Under Biden the military was openly describing their work in Taiwan as building the Pacific kill chain, essential nuclear first strike capabilities.

So when a country that's been invaded by the West 3 times in last 150 years says that there was an attempt to create nuclear escalation, yeah I am gonna believe it

  • The concern is that the USA official stated policy is that they reserve the right to use nuclear weapons in a first strike, while China's official stated policy is that they will never use nuclear weapons in a first strike under any condition.

  • LOL, drones can be used for occupation? Really? Foolish mental acrobatics so you don't have to deal with reality.

Sending a drone, likely a kamikaze drone, at a nuclear power plant is not a valid military operation.

What Russia did, quite clearly, was captured and secure a plant. What Ukraine did, based on the evidence, is chuck an explosive at a plant.

  • I mean, sure, if you remove all other considerations, you might be right.

But the USA is constantly sending munitions that are used to bomb fucking refugee camps and providing boots-on-the-ground assistance in Intel, training, and likely clandestine ops.

That's not peace talks are just slow and violence continues while talks are in progress. That's a red herring. It doesn't get much redder than that.

Israel does not need to bomb refugee camps for its national security. The munitions the USA constantly provides are not necessary for Israel to continue skirmishes with armed combatants. The USA could end lethal aid to Israel while engaging in peace talks and Israel would still exist as a state and it would still have the bullets it needs to kill innocent people. But billions in bombs against a guerilla enemy is ludicrous.

  • Congratulations, you have have discovered the true meaning of ad hominem. Instead of actually exploring how someone could hold a position you disagree with, you just point at the person holding it, point at their affiliations, and abandon logic entirely.

  • No. Russia did not send UAVs to damage a nuclear plant. Russia captured the plant as a strategic position to hold and control. Once your troops are stationed there, you have a vested interest in maintaining the integrity of the reactor. Ukraine's attack was an attack on a nuclear plant with zero intention to hold and control it.

  • Every year the US alone has sent materiel to Ukraine that exceeds the annual total military budget of Russia which includes Russia's strategic nuclear budget. Then add all of European aid. Russia has destroyed all of it while making its military larger and more efficient by expending mostly aging assets. At the same time it put down 3 separate attempts to open new fronts against it, including flushing out the insider threats in Wagner. At the same time it has deployed Wagner into Africa to provide support to other countries. And it absolutely is maintaining sufficient force to defend the homeland against a new threat should one emerge.

    Just do the math, honey.

Also, the idea that anyone hates China more than America outside of Europe is a fucking hoot!

  • Uhhhh. Are you aware of just how happy the people of China are with their government? Harvard conducted a 15-year research project and found 95% of China approved of their government. I would LOVE to live in a place where we all felt like the government was actually doing we wanted to.

And to call it autocratic is just ridiculous. Autocracy is a very specific form of government. Every state you mentioned is a literal Republic.
