Yup! Everything I read shows people with your card having better success especially with mesa. Good to know for when I switch to AMD in my inevitable future.

Damn what a mess. I was hearing for Linux the mesa driver makes the game run pretty well for AMD cards.

I heard this is because NVIDIA didn’t fund optimizations. AMD did so it’s running a lot better for them. I said fuck it and bought an Xbox with 2 year payment plan and game pass included. Cause no way my 1080ti is ever gonna play this game that good I don’t think. End of an era.

Seems it’s worse if you have nvidia (for Linux desktop) cause apparently they didn’t fund the project for optimization. So even great cards are struggling I heard. My 1080Ti won’t even start it. Finally an end of an era. I had to refund. I do have a steam deck but it doesn’t seem worth it to get starfield on it

AMD cards can use latest mesa driver to get it work though.

There’s some good RSS feeds that break up into the content and comments. I love those because they remind me of Reddit and Lemmy. I think hackernews / ycombinator

Yup. Playing fallout tale of two wastelands with multiple mod packs (over 100 mods) on Linux and using steamtinkerlaunch I had no issues.

I think it shouldn’t be a problem. I’m currently playing fallout tale of two wastelands on Linux mint. Once I found steamtinkerlaunch it was so easy to mod.
