  • Atheist, married to a Buddhist. He prays daily and has his rituals.

Made it clear from the start that I'm ok with religion as long as they don't try to convert me or harm others.

Aside some dietary requirements, it works quite well. Married for 9 years now.

This works quite well for us, but results and experience may differ based on religion, patience and personal beliefs. I imagine I might have a hard time dating a religious zealot though.

  • I understand your pain. I (37m) and my husband (43m) are in a loving relationship for about 15 years now. Due to the cultural differences of my husband's family, he has not declared our relationship to his family (living in his home country). They probably know we're more than roommates. They like me. But nothing is outspoken. (His homecountry also has a 7y prison sentence for same sex relations)

Like peer comments mentioned. It's their decision how and when to communicate to their family. It's not easy, but if you truly love your significant other, you'll find a way to accept.

  • I mean ... You got the nazi pictures, you got the conditiin of the bed, those are red flags for a relationship for sure.

A more immediate threat to your life, spending time in the bed, would be the wall plug next to the pillow. The way I spend night in a bed, this wouls be a fire hazard.
