"they" are humans who have a far worse life somewhere else just because of the birth lottery. who are you to say they don't deserve the life you get to have based on pure luck?
fuck that. we shouldn't only be open to one class of immigrant. I don't pretend to have answers but I know that this idea further a class hierarchy and as such is crap.
It's a great explanation. However you have some pretty egregious use of commas that made it a lot more confusing. I had to read it over multiple times to fully understand.
It may seem like nitpicking but these subtle issues end up making it harder to comprehend and overall results in more time and effort for everyone you're trying to inform.
I absolutely hate the Santa story. it basically tells poor kids they are fundamentally bad and at the same time takes credit away from hard working parents. we treat Santa like the Christmas mascot but have never credited him with bringing presents. that story is garbage.
it is unfortunate that someone had to be killed. the argument is that there is no other way to accomplish change. and I would probably agree with that.
that's.... not how it works. if you're going to make an outlandish claim that you know more about something than ANYONE ELSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD then the burden of proof is on you to support that claim.
obviously the guy knows a lot. but "more than anyone else" is a really stupid claim to make, one that only a fool would make. the actual most knowledgeable person wouldn't go around claiming this. they are too busy manufacturing.
why do so many people put the punchline at the start of the joke?
