  • Yeah, I've never bothered to try to create one with a moderation queue. Seems like too much work!

  • The bot generally works OK (the problems are more the Pi it runs on has a somewhat flaky wifi connection so sometimes it posts stuff it shouldn't post, or vice versa, than anything to do with Lemmy)

The Bedfordshire one is something I knocked up to get some content flowing. The sources aren't the best (lack of RSS feeds on websites these days) but, yes, it posts everything - every day is a slow news day in Beds 😄

  • Did you learn this from Wordle?

  • Fedia.io (Kbin). With my bot running on Lemmy it made sense to move it so the bot and community were hosted in the same place - the federation wasn't working reliably.

  • Pretty much, yeah.

  • A Lemmy community for cannabis, vaporizers, and vaporizer accessories.

    Yeah... maybe not.

  • Nothing personal, just US EV news usually has no relevance over here!

  • Fair point. It's due to be open source but isn't yet, I forgot.

  • It has this already - see editions under the book. Some books have been added incorrectly as new books though.

  • Yes, that does it - could not find a user with username ich_iel

  • PixelFed is your best bet if you're looking for an Instagram alternative.

  • Ah, that worked. "API error: couldn't find object" The exclamation mark didn't get highlighted. It didn't appear to try to open as a user though. Maybe this is a slightly different problem, caused by that link being a Kbin magazine - and it's trying to open it as /c/ instead of /m/ ?

  • Ok, that link worked 😕

I've seen it often when the exclamation mark doesn't get highlighted and it tries to open as a user.

    Try again

  • I use Bitwarden for 2FA and the Bitwarden TOTP is in Aegis (I switched there from Authy after seeing a mention of it yesterday - never liked that it's near impossible to get the tokens back out of Authy, but Bitwarden is the only thing I use it for). Actually the Bitwarden code is in Bitwarden too 😉.

I don't particularly like that the passwords and TOTP are stored together, but it makes things much more convenient.

  • Yes, they are fully interoperable - the power of ActivityPub!
